It was the last day of our trip to Mexico, coming in from the beach; we were looking for a special place for our last night before heading back home to old man winter up north, and we found it here in Hacienda Xcanatun. This is an exquisite hotel with attention to every detail. Even better than the pictures could... More

Stayed here overnight during our visit to the Uxmal mayan Ruins site. The ruins are a short walk away so this is an excellent place to stay while touring. The hotel and attendants are superior to none. They treat you royally. We did have an outage during one of our meals but the waiter and even the manager were there... More

Our stay was not long enough! We had a very unique situation in which we wanted to have a wedding like vowel renewal. We were taking a 5 day cruise out of Galveston and did not want o have the ceremony on the boat. Christina Baker and the staff worked so patiently with me as We planned the ceremony. Emails... More

We were spending a second winter in Merida and couldn't resist coming here after our first visit two years ago. Took a deluxe suite again on the second floor and loved it. We were facing another building this time but there were few windows in the other building and lots of vegetation in between so we still felt isolated. Our... More

WE highly recommend hacienda Xcanatun. Our stay was perfect. We had a suite in the old part of the hacienda near the chapel. It was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. The service was outstanding and the food was terrific. We can't wait to go back.

This is not the 12th best hotel in Merida - it is one of the very best. The service levels, the quality of the spacious rooms and the restaurant make it a Yucatan experience that cannot be missed. There are some beautiful converted 'homes' in downtown Merida, but nothing compares with a Hacienda. And while Starwood has five or so... More

It is worth every penny! The whole hacienda was restored very professionally! The rooms are beautiful and the food is perfect! It will be a wonderful experience, located at the north part of town, closer than you think!

It is the Third time we are going to this amazing place.. A true luxury but without the bling bling. The place, the service, the rooms, the restaurant .. It is a tricky place as you feel like just staying there and enjoying It fully. What else ...

This really was a great find and one of the very few places to which we would make en effort to return. Booking and welcome were efficient and graceful. Our Deluxe Suite was on the top floor of an elegant block set in gardens and overlooking one of the two swimming pools. It was enormous with elegant furniture, a wrap-around... More

The Hacienda Xcanatun has probably the best restaurant in Merida and is a must if you are at all interested in having at least one great meal in the Yucatan, with excellent, innovative menu choices, the best service in Merida (my pet peeve) and a gorgeous room. If you decide, as you should, to stay, you will not want to... More
