Visiting the Rhine valley, we luckily stayed at Alter Posthof. Nice and cosy hotel, with family in charge. Excellent service and good food. Suitable hotel for seniors. Nice walking path along the river. Near to Boppard and Koblenz

Stayed here twice last month on our way to, and from, Southern Germany. A wonderful location, a few hundred yards from the Rhine, but just outside Boppard in a quiet village. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The restaurant was outstanding with a great atmosphere. The huge breakfast included in the very reasonable room rate was outstanding. Great staff... More

Very good and clean hotel in a beautiful small village, very close to the Rhine borders. Restaurant was excellent, fully booked with tourists and locals. Average age a bit high but for sure to be repeated!

During my stay in Germany, I was lucky enough to be able to eat here twice. Both times the food was excellent and the service could not have been better. A local family that introduced me to this place has been coming here for many many decades and for good reason. Historically, this place has much to offer, seeing that... More

Very helpful staff, nice quiet village, good food in the restaurant. Good if you have a car. Close to train station. Quiet hotel. Only a 1 minute walk to River and cycle way with a couple of possibilities for restaurants on the riverside. Good option for German speaking travelers. They have a couple of free bikes for guests. But, Only... More

On our way to sout of Germany we broke down and were put up in the hotel by the insurance company. That was a silver lining. Wonderful, helpful staff. Lovely room and a great, great food. Once we collected our car we wanted to go back bu they were full. No wonder. Top place. Unfortunately as we arrived late and... More

We stayed two nights on the Rhine and I found a nice hotel/restaurant in Spay, just across from Marksburg Castle. The double room was spacious with a separate sitting area. No bathtub though, and no refrigerator. From one window in the room you can see the castle , and from the other window you can spot the Rhine. It's well... More
