Admittedly I came from a luxury accommodation in Ubud but I found the location and staff lovely. Breakfast was fine and the staff were friendly. Quite willing to help with transport- few shops close by- awesome restaurants (clifftop). We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa- large rooms My only complaint... beautiful stone bath... no plug!

We had a great week staying at Sandatmas. The staff were welcoming and friendly on arrival and check in was straight forward. Our room was huge, clean and had air con which was perfect considering how hot it was! The staff even helped to organise moped hire for us for the week! They also organised taxi's for other guests staying... More

As soon as you arrive at Sandat Mas the stench of decay enters your nostrils. The unfriendly staff seem to know they are masquerading as hoteliers and show this through their bad attitudes and false smiles - something that you don't find very often on Bali where the smiles are honest and welcoming. Some elements of Sandat Mas are lovely... More

I have never felt so uninvited in a hostel. The staff is unfriendly, rude and laughing at you. We booked over internet and they said they did not get a booking and tried to charge us 100000 more for the room. No hello, no welcome. The room is just basic, just white walls and white sheets but clean. The bathroom is... More

The location can't be beat for surfers - it's a 5 minute walk to the break. The rooms are ok and the pool is nice, but the staff is seriously borderline hostile. They include free breakfast with the room (it is completely unsubstantial) and the staff acts like you're interrupting them every time you go to the front for anything... More

Roughly two hundreds yards from the steps at uluwatu you can't stay much closer. The rooms were very clean, spacious and reasonably well equipped. We payed £25 per night for an upgraded room including breakfast. The banana pancakes for breakfast were the best ever, made even better by having them in the well maintained gardens. The staff were lovely contrary... More

Fantastic location just a couple of minutes walk to the Uluwatu stairs/cliff. Friendly staff that are more than happy to arrange transfers/bikes/massages etc. Lovely clean rooms, basic fan rooms are a great price and Villas are great. The pool is well maintained and the view at sunset is perfect. We have stayed here twice and loved it both times, will... More

My fiance and I searched all over the net to find a place to stay near Uluwatu. I have been dreaming of this trip for 30 years. So i wanted to make sure it was a good call...And boy it was! A small breakfast is included, but the menu has so many other options that are very affordable. I couldn't... More

The staff were not very friendly and the rooms could really do with renovating. The outside shared living area and pool was nice but there was no coffee or tea facilities. We didn't mind but I think I should point out that because it's an open living area there were heaps of bugs and geckos at night and we did... More

I was in Sandat But in July 2011. Only 200 meters from Uluwatu surf spot. Rooms large and clean. In winter it is warm during the day and a little chilly at night because of the sea breeze. About 20 ° C overnight. Cold is take a shower at night because the bathroom is open and outside the room. EXCELLENT... More
