Impressively restored four years ago after standing empty for 16 years, Hotel Huacalera brilliantly combines attractive local decoration and design with international standards of accommodation, service and cleanliness - for many years hard to find in this region. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated, with cactus wood widely in evidence in the ceilings. The beds are comfortable and all... More

After long day riding the Safari de los Nubes, we arrived in Huacalera. The hotel surroundings is out of this world, as was the service and the ambiance of the rooms. The rooms are nice and large, and the corridor ample with decorative elements from the animistic lives and festivals of the native Indians. The room itself was large and... More

The hotel is quite far from purmamarca but despite that, we have really appreciate our 1night in this hotel. Particular ambiance, room are quite big, warm, well decorated, hotel is quite and decorated with style and willing to be "particular" and i think they succeed to do so. They have a concept and they follow it. I did not use... More

Beautiful hotel on the main road yet very quiet as there was no traffic did not try the spa facilities but my room was superior with a large balcony. The restaurant is top and wine not exagerated in price. Clean, trendy interior, quality. I liked it

We stayed one night here on a whirlwind tour of northern Argentina. The service was very pleasant and the design, both in the common areas and room, was great. We had dinner here and the food was pretty good too. Definitely recommend.

The hotel is very original in its decoration and the rooms are good sizes and well equipped. The public areas are interesting and comfortable, save the Spa which is very basic (although I had a very good massage), and the pool which the dogs enjoy swimming in in the morning. The surrounding area is very interesting in terms of geology... More

If you're travelling north out of Salta, then Huacalera is the place to stay. Right off the main road it's very convenient. It's spotlessly clean, impeccably designed with local Jujuy furniture and decor, and incredibly comfortable. It's tastefully simple but elegant too.

This hotel is a restored "Provincial" hotel, which has been renovated in a very modern travel-magazine style. Their website shows off the contemporary art which is scattered around. 32 rooms, a small spa and pool (not open in the winter when we were there) a nice restaurant and a comfortable lobby/bar/cafe area. The rooms are stylish with all mod-cons, but... More
