We stayed at Long Bay for 12 nights in February 07. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in what is a really beautiful location and probably the best on the Island. The atmosphere at the hotel is unusual in that it resembles a house party with regular returning guests making newcomers such as ourselves feel welcome. It is difficult to fault... more

This hotel should be one of the jewels of its island... even a real hidden gem of the Caribbean. That it's not is almost entirely self-inflicted... and could be fixed, given the right choices by its management. Maybe by next year... On the upside, it is in a FANTASTIC location. We spent nearly two weeks on Antigua and didn't find... more

My wife and I holiday in the Caribbean every Jan/Feb., trying a different island and luxury/international hotel each year. Four years ago, thanks to a classified ad. in The Spectator magazine and glowing comments on Trip Advisor, we chanced on the Long Bay Hotel, since when we have returned each year. Distinctly different from the contrived offerings at the higher... more

Long Bay is a hotel with 20 colonial plantation style rooms with the biggest beds I have ever seen. The rooms have balconies facing the beautiful blue bay.Tree frogs lull one to sleep along with the wind in coconut palms. My cousins and I went with our seven teenage nieces and nephews who all slept in a cottage and sang... more

Having visited this hotel on a cruise stop off we fell in love with it. We returned for a 14 night holiday which did not disappoint at all. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The people staying were all couples and because there is no disco, night club in the evenings you had a chance to get to know other people.... more

We stayed at the Long Bay Hotel in Antigua for my 40th birthday in November and had a lovely time. If you are looking for somewhere relaxing and friendly we would highly recommend this place. The staff and management were really kind and helpful with a personal touch - a bottle of champagne on my birthday was a very nice... more

Having read the reviews from others i was not sure what to expect when we arrived at the Long Bay Hotel but I can only pay compliments to the Hotel and Staff for the time we stayed there. The hotel has that old world natural charm that modern hotels cannot copy - the Staff were very friendly and helpful. Being... more

On one side the fresh winds keeps accommodations cool, while on the beach side everything is calm, with a sea that does not roll or have large waves. The best of both worlds. The hotel buildings are 40 years old and exude that sort of pleasant feeling found in older properties. The most outstanding feature was the excellent food :... more

We spent a delighful 3 days at The Long Bay Hotel in Antigua. We had been making a film in the Caribbean and were very tired. The Long Bay Hotel was the perfect place for rest and recouperation. The rooms are spacious with wonderful high four-poster beds and large terraces with a picture postcard view of the tranquil bay. There... more

The Long Bay Hotel is exactly as advertised- small, quaint, beautiful location with good service. Host Dave is the man- from great recommendations on where to go/what to do and taking care of the "the little things", Dave made our stay even better than expected. Chris, the owner, is very friendly and knows the island like a local (he is... more
