My husband and I stayed here after some friends paid for it for part of a wedding present, as we were also bought a meal in a local restaurant. Wow, the room was just stunning. Beautifully decorated, in a way that i did not expect when we initially arrived at the George, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Loving big... More

My partner and I went with friends to the George inn for a 'light lunch' as we had once before last summer, we sat in the garden as it was a beautiful day and per used the menu, jane (the owner) came and introduced herself, and explained the extensive menu including specials, we couldn't resist and went for a full... We spent a night at the George and had a double and twin room - they were both beautifully decorated and equipped - all seemed virtually brand new. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms surprisingly quiet. Robertsbridge is a charming village and we had a huge and delicious breakfast. Would recommend.

You will be made to feel very welcome here. John and Jane make every effort to ensure you're comfortable and happy and all the staff are bubbly and intelligent with a good sense of humour. We were also advised of good places to visit, independent coffee shops, the best places to park etc. The rooms are very tastefully furnished and... More

We came across The George quite by chance when taking a drive through the Sussex countryside from our base in Rye. We had already all piled out of the car at the first pub we came to in Robertsbridge only to be told they weren't doing food, so when we arrived at the George we sent the men in first.... More

This place is abosultely great, cannot recommed it enough! The place just oozes athmosphere, the rooms are quite spacious, but bathrooms are small. Rooms are a bit pricey since it is in a small village with not the best communications, so you defenitely need to have a car to get around. the staff make you feel very welcome, and the... More

We turned up here on our way down to the coast having read some of the reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed! The very kind staff were able to accommodate us for dinner even though they were apparently fully booked and the food was very good and fairly priced. Recommended!
