We had booked into Ayara Kamala (while already in Thailand) for 3 nights but checked out after the first night and asked to be refunded for the remaining two nights so we could stay somewhere else. (It was the last two nights of our holiday so really wanted to enjoy them).
We booked through Agoda, which I think was the...

I honestly think people are being a little to ridiculous in things they are complaining about with this hotel.
The beds. A lot of asian countries do in fact have hard beds. I have stayed in 5 star accommodation in bali that had hard beds. Saying this, ayara has hard beds but they are definitely more comfortable than 'sleeping on...

I love Araya Kamala resort. This hotel resort have no beach for swimming but I enchant with the sunset at the swimming pool of my pool villa. The breakfast is à la carte and also have boiled rice. Althrough this hotel is far from uptown but there is the hotel bus service. I think this hotel is suit for honeymoon.
We stayed at Ayara Kamala for a week in December. It has some beautiful views, very well kept grounds, stunning rooms and very friendly staff. However, before booking here there are a few things you should be aware of.

After staying for a week in an excellent hotel on the other side of the island, we wanted a change for our second week. We trusted the reviews on Trip Advisor and booked into Ayara Kamala Resort. The hotel is over priced for what it offers and should be given just one star. The staff are very unfriendly and rude....

We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our pool villa. The room was beautiful and very clean. The bed was VERY firm - we were okay with it, but if you like a soft bed you may be disappointed. The only other thing that was a little disappointing was the water pressure in the shower - it was...

The hotel is so so nice, big room, cute and warm welcoming room decoration.
I particularly like the pool, seeing sunset in the pool is so so fascinating, you'll forget everything there. Free tennis court with rackets and tennis balls, a nice resort for a group of friends to play around.
I will recommend staying here, the staff is helpful...

We stayed here about 8 days for our honeymoon. They place was very nice. Free breakfast every morning had a huge selection of food. Everything from Thai to American. Also even though it was a huge hill to walk up, they will take you up and down in there little trucks all day if you like. It was almost everything...
