We were 'meeted and greeted' as soon as we opened the main door and then shown through to the dining room. Our drinks order was taken and menus provided immediately. We... More

Called in 'for one' when out for a walk - ended up staying all afternoon and having some lunch too! the staff were really friendly and accommodating - we were a group of 8 with 3 dogs and felt welcomed - and I don't expect to have nicer chips anywhere else this year!

After a very bad experience on the same Sunday afternoon at the Fir Tree country inn five miles down the road. Read my review in trip advisor. This was like chalk and cheese so clean and inviting and the bar staff could not be more helpful. This is not a Carvery but they give you plenty veg and a choice... More

We visited this pub to watch football. It had good range of ales. It was child friendly and dog friendly. And it also advertised evening entertainment. We would definitely recommend it and we will be going back. Maybe to try the food which smelled good.
