Fantastic b&b/ bunkhouse type accomodation with restaurant on the Coast to Coast bike ride to end second day. We came across it after a day of struggling against gale force winds and rain, and the hosts were very accommodating, in their cosy mountain top refuge! Drying room available for wet gear, and a great evening meal in the restaurant. Absolute... More

We stayed here after a long day on the C2C route. The climb out of the nearest town of Stanhope is deceptively long, but the scenery is beautiful. On a cold day, we were met with a cup of tea by the fabulously friendly hosts. They catered well for vegeterians and it was obvious that they put a lot of... More

After a hard day cycling on the Coast to Coast and with the light fading we managed to reach Parkhead Station. Bikes we quickly stored and we recieved a very warm welcome, hot towels and hot drinks were provided straight away and our wet clothes were stored in a drying room ready for the next day. Enjoyed the food and... More

Incredible location on the top of the moor, you do not expect such a lovely and homely place. This is a special B&B with everything you could ask for. Don't ride the C2C without staying here

Stopped as part of a group doing a C2C ride - the owners and staff could not have been more hospitable or accommodating. Thank you so much :) There was nothing to fault!

We stopped at the end of day 2 of the C2C after the long hill from Stanhope! We were welcomed by a pot of tea and a telling off from one of our party for thinking of the place as a hostel! And that summed it up, the place is lovely, the food is great, beds comfy and views fantastic.... More

I'm not sure I have enough room to convey all of the excellent features of Parkhead Station! My husband and I had been to the tea rooms a few times and always found the place very friendly and welcoming so I decided to take him there for his 50th birthday. I cannot fault anything about the place or the people... More

I stayed here as part of an organised c2c trip and hadn't read any reviews. On arrival in the afternoon we had hot drinks and scones which were good. The room for myself and another woman was a family room with a double bed and a set of bunk beds which made what was a fairly large room seem very... More

This friendly, clean, well decorated contemporary yet practical guest house accommodated a large group of very tired friends in great style. I would recommend this C2C stopover without hesitation. Showers were great, food fantastic and service second to none. The views around the guest house were outstanding. We will be back!
