Arrived wet cold and exhausted. Lorraine and Terry gave us a warm wellcolm dried us all out and provided a wonderfully warm and cosy guesthouse. Comfortable rooms, Good food and a great breakfast .I would have no reservation about recommending the Parkhead Station as a place to stay during your coast to coast.

To me, this place is everything you would want from a B&B. A warm welcome from the moment you walk in the door, lovely, clean and modern rooms (all with a view), friendly conversation and help throughout your stay, lovely food, a cosy and welcoming restaurant, oh and did I mention that its situated at the top of a hill... Only stopped (briefly) for coffee and a sausage sarnie after cycling from Broompark along Lanchester Valley and Wakerley Way. Very warm welcome and in such an atmospheric setting. Liked the quaint setting and quirkiness of the place. Apparently they 'do' a Sunday lunch for £5.99 so we will return to try this too.

I discovered this lovely guest house as light was beginning to fade at the end of a steep climb up from Stanhope.
