Beautiful cottages surrounded by fields. Lovely to escape to and only 4 miles from the coast. Well thought out for young and older children -games room, tennis court's, swing, heated swimming pool, horses and sheep to visit. Owners very friendly and thoughtful. E.g removing ladder from bank bed and deep end of pool to safeguard from temptation with our toddler!... More

Our family (2 grown ups, a 14 11, 5 year old and a 10 mths old) stayed in the Granary in August for a week. The cottage was clean, had everything we needed and more. A cot was provided along with a highchair and zbed so we didn't have to worry about fitting everything in the cars. The cottage itself... More

Our family of four have just returned from a very relaxing four night stay in the B&B accommodation. The 2 bedrooms and bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated to a high standard and the master bed was very comfortable (I have a bad back so can be fussy). The breakfasts were delicious and again quality ingredients / brands provided.... More

Just returned from a few days staying at The Granary. The weather was amazing, so we spent most of our time in the lovely garden which has great views over the countryside. Our 7 month old was made very welcome, and a high chair, cot, stair gate and bath was provided which meant we were able to pack light. A... More

Our three-generational family of seven stayed in the Dairy and the Swallows for three nights recently. It was perfect, as the grandparents could have their separate space to retire to (in the Swallows), but we could gather for daily activity and for a barbecue in the garden of the Dairy. Gordon and Liz made us feel quite welcome in every... More

We stayed in the Swallows log cabin for a short midweek break. Due to unforseen circumstances we arrived very late in the day but Gordon was very welcoming and friendly, as was Liz when we bumped into her later in our stay. The cabin is well equipped and modern but also has a lovely cosy homely feel. Having access to... More

We stayed in The Dairy, one of two self catering cottages, the Dairy having two bedrooms - one with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed. This was our second visit and our mini break was just as wonderful as last year. The games room was a godsend, keeping our small children occupied, and also mummy and daddy.... More

Barrithayes is a peaceful farmhouse that offers B&B, and a couple of SC holiday lets in converted farmyard buildings. We rented the Dairy, a small but clean and well stocked little unit with a double bed and 2 bunks, which was ideal for a young family. I think it would be a bit of a squash with teenagers, but there... More

We spent 5 lovely days in the Swallows cabin in April. Liz and Gordon were welcoming and provided some essentials and flowers on our arrival. Our dog was made welcome. The cabin, which is well equipped and cosy, has a large field for private use from which extensive views can be enjoyed. At night the stars were amazing. The country... More

Barritshayes is possibly one of the loveliest places we have ever visited. We have stayed in one of the self catering barn conversions and also the B&B. The accommodation is excellent. It is immaculate. yet comfortable and cosy. Both Liz and Gordon are fantastic hosts, they are incredibly accommodating and friendly. The facilities they offer are tremendous, the pool is... More
