Just returned from staying at the Cobblers for two nights. Lovely welcoming owners, extremely comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!! Drawback is the limited parking outside but there is a public carpark a few yds up the road. Which is free between 6pm and 8am

Our stay at the Cobblers was a wonderful experience. The food is out of this world. Whilst Caroline and Russel cater for all tastes including vegetarian, their speciality fish dishes served in their restaurant are exquisite. On one occasion two dishes looked particularly nice and the choice was hard to make, one dish was offered as a starter and the... More

The Cobblers appears to be more of a restaurant than a B&B and we had tried to find accommodation at several B&Bs in Colyton before finally booking. We had the two rooms overlooking the street. They were very pleasant - clean and comfortable and apart from some early morning noise from rubbish trucks we slept well! We booked in for... More

A group of us had the most delicious home cooked lunch at Cobblers. The food was excellent and home made puddings a rare treat. The service was prompt but not intrusive. If you need to know anything about the area then the proprietors are very helpful indeed. This was our second outing to Cobblers and no doubt we will be... More

We visited The Cobblers for dinner on September 3rd 2011. We didn't stay for the night, so I can't comment on the rooms. Caroline is responsible for the running of the restaurant and her partner Russell runs the kitchen. They both have extensive experience of the hotel and catering business, and it shows in the professionalism of the service and... More

We visit Colyton regularly and normally stay at White Cottage which was full for this trip. We were recommended The Cobblers and after reading the previous review were a little apprehensive. Our room was large and comfortable and looked out over the main street. We had the usual tea & coffee making facilities and a TV with good reception which... More

I was recommended to this "restaurant with rooms" when other recommended B&Bs in Colyton were full. At GBP30 it was a bargain--but you get what you pay for. Single travelers always receive the smallest rooms in the back of the hotel with views of nothing--and this wasn't any different. Room was small (but could be called adequate if you're not... More
