I'm a regular visitor to the restaurant which has good food at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and flexible, even when groups arrive without notice. The location is easy to find being on the A40 near St Clears and next to a petrol station. Very central for tourists with easy access to the coast or hills. We regularly... More

Just had a3 night stay at the lodge. After travelling for hours on our motor bikes (we were at a show down at the show ground)we were made very welcome there was a mix up on one of our rooms but it was soon fixed. Breakfast and evening meals we're freshly cooked and enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again. All... More

On our holiday to Tenby with our grandson we decided to stop off at The Forge Resturant for a light bite, as due to bank holiday traffic our usual trip of two hours took longer than expected. We often visit this Inn for food but the previous time we weren't too happy with the food or price, but decided to... More

Comfortable stay although only one night. Massive room, plenty of parking and very good breakfast. Lovely view across the fields. Only drawback really was the fact that it is a little way out of St. Clears but not a big problem. Other than that, no complaints.

We pulled in to this place to stay without a booking & were pleased to find they had a lodge room available. The room was enormous, away from the restaurant & really comfortable. Plus any time that WiFi is included is a good time! We loved the meals (get the garlic potatoes!!!) and breakfast was great too. it was an... More

I did not find my room to be spacious or particularly modern, especially the bathroom. Whilst there was an excellent power shower, it was let down by the rest of the bathroom which was a dated cream suite with tiles and towels that had seen better days - nothing like the bathroom seen in the pictures on the website .... Stopped for food but was not happy that the chef kept scratching his beard and putting his fingers in his mouth what about food hygiene. Really put us off our meal. The food was not bad but won't revisit as I am very fussy re food hygiene.

My room was spacious I saw the pool but didn't use it. Although it seems to be miles from anywhere but a twenty minute walk gets you to st clears where Welsh legends delme Thomas Mike Phillips and Jonathan Davies circa 2014 first played. I would recommend turning left out of the hotel onto path walk through the first single... More

Stopped of here for a meal on way home. The home made lasagne was stodgy and they seemed to have forgotten to put in the mince and as for the curry it had no flavour to it. Needless to say didn't stop for dessert was not going to risk it. Gave it 2 stars for the helpful waitress after all... More
