Bali: beaches, surf, lowest wages in SE Asia, rubbish driven by rampant tourism, gentle people, gentle culture, Indonesia. It's all very complex when affluent tourists land with trillions of rupee. So, the Menjangan. Clean beaches, no surf, no rubbish, few tourists, and prices more akin to affluent rupee holders. Still the generosity of the Balinese hosts shines through; you'll love... More

Selamat Malam, dear SDEP portsea This is probably the funniest review we ever received! Really happy you enjoyed our “somewhat ageing vehicular rooftop safari park”! We certainly had to look up the word “idiosyncrasy” and we take it with great pride that someone who has travelled to so many countries like you scores us with 5*! From the entire family,... More

We were lucky enough to stay at The Menjangan. Situated far from the tourists sites, the trip is still worth it. We arrived at almost 11 p.m. and were still greeted with a warm welcome by the staff members. The Tower is quite dramatic in the dark, and even more beautiful in the daytime when you can see the balcony.... More

Selamat siang, dear moodbeast How wonderful that you enjoyed your stay with us so much. Thank you for all the important details in your review, we appreciate always when guest are aware that we don’t have a white sand swimming beach like in the South of the island. The Jetty is, as it was for you, for most guest good... More

If you're coming to Bali for fun and excitement, night life and surfing, don't come here!! If you have heard about the legendary calm and natural beauty of Bali, about the desire to help others and the simplicity of life that is to be found here, I don't know how it could get much better than this. Certainly, the beach... More

It was amazing place. In the middle of west bali national park, and the resort can keep the harmony with nature. You can met animal just close to the villa, 'the deer' as the conserved animal there. Its mean that the resort can manage their operation and not disturb the naturality. Partridge you can find much on the jungle, beside... More

Breakfast is serious business. Remember what your mother told you? It's the most important meal of the day. So I pay special attention to the breakfast menu. The standard breakfast in Bali is a buffet. You will find the normal serving of bread, cerial, scrambled eggs and noodles. Yes, it's boring. And you can bet it is going to be... More

Wonderful recluse with lots of wildlife close up, situated in the largest National Park of Bali, if you are into nature, beach, horse riding, bird watching, snorkeling and various other watersports, this is the place.. would recommend the beach villas, they have their own section on the property. Set within a national park this is the quietest spot in Bali. Monsoon lodge, one of the accommodations available has spacious rooms with all the gadgets one could want - if you didn't want to enjoy the natural bush noises i.e DVD and docking station. We stayed at the Menjangan for an all-too brief 3 nights as part of a bigger holiday. This is a truly unique experience. Selamat Sore, dear susan1959 We are utterly pleased to hear how much you enjoyed your stay with us! The “Safari Car” is actually called “Tringiling” (that is also the name of another wild animal which can be found in the Park)…and yes, people usually really enjoy the rides!
