If you are looking for an intimate, tranquil resort where time stands still, then this is it. No newspapers, no TV, no man made noise. Each morning we awoke to the sound of waves gently lapping on the beach, monkeys chattering in the trees, birds singing and the humming of the cicadia bugs. The beach has the softest sand that... Stayed here for 3 nights in March 2015. Secret Paradise lived up to our expectations and we considered this the highlight of our 10 days in Palawan. We arranged transportation though the hotel from El Nido by land and by boat to Sabang which went very well. Of note is that I originally had arranged a transfer by boat from... More

Thank you for your kind words. All positive reviews really do help us stay open as a small 8 room eco-friendly resort. See you again. Regards Mark More

Stayed for 4 nights this month, there were a few bad reviews before we got there so was a bit concerned what we might be getting ourselves in for! I can't think of many other places you would visit that would just be shared with around 16 other people, much more rewarding than a overcrowded resort. We got the public... More

We were doubtful about choosing Secret Paradise for a four day stay because it was so remote, and we didn't want to be stuck with a place we didn't like, and not have options to go somewhere else and look around. But we looked at the reviews and made a decision and went for it. It was the absolute highlight... More

Secret Paradise is one of those special places you only get to with a bit of effort, but it's so beautiful you'll forget all about that on arrival. The cottages are very comfortable, the food is simple but tasty and the staff try hard to please. The resort has two gorgeous beaches within easy access, and some very good snorkeling... More

I've lived in the Philippines for more than 8 years and have traveled all over the country - and throughout SE Asia - and this place is a true gem. There are not many small, remote but thoroughly comfortable resorts like this left anymore in the more touristed destinations. This is a "must go" place for nature lovers who want... More

We stayed in the resort for two nights for our honeymoon. We took the private bungalow on the beach which was quite expensive for whatbwe got. The only good thing about it is the amazing location. The owner and manager are foreigners and they give you a feeling that the only thing they care about is money. For example, the... More

We regret to say that you have made so many untrue facts, that maybe your review was for another resort. We have asked tripadvisor to look into this review. 1, You stated “The owner & manager are foreign, drink and smoke in front of guest in restraint.” Untrue, I am the owner and my Filipino fiancée is the manager and... I have mixed feelings about this place- I've given it a good review because: - Beautiful location -Very friendly staff who tried hard to please -Secluded and peaceful -The rooms were very nice and the landscaping/grounds etc beautiful However, given that this place was not cheap (for Filipino standards) I think a few areas needed addressing: - The staff need... Secret Paradise lives up to its name. It sits on a remote part of the Palawan Island, 2-hour sail from the Underground River. The place is teeming with nature- birds and, of course, turtles. It flaunts stunning vistas over and under water. It only has 7 cottages including the restaurant in its 70-hectare property so it will never be crowded... More

This place is really a gem in the arcipelago. Beautifully located. Quiet, peaceful, warm and friendly. Great food and friendly staff. Everything is very well organized. Mark and his staff does a great work here. We would love to come back. This is the perfect place if you need to relax.
