Most good things could be said about this hostel, that is refurbished in a traditonal, Danish country house style. It is right in the center of charming Holbæk, some steps from the sea. They have a surprisingly good restaurant, that serves a three courses menu of the week in addition to a la carte. I stayed for two nights and... More

Basic accomodation but no complaints for the money. Staff were helpful and looked after our luggage before and after check-in/out. Great views of the fjord and close to the town centre and train station. Very nice breakfast anda nice/friendly atmosphere throughout.

The Dan hostel is in an historic building with large bright and airy rooms. It has the feel of a hotel with antique furniture in the public areas and memorabilia of its era. The rooms are large with private bathrooms but the beds are basic, which reminds you that you are in a hostel! Breakfast is good and the restaurant... More

Dear Guest We are glad you enjoyed your stay, and we hope that you will stay with us, should you ever need accommodation in Holbaek again. We do indeed make an effort to match the decor, to the era that the house was built in. The house was built in 1944 and was originally a Merchants House. Later, the house... More

We spent an enjoyable night. The lady who welcomed us was very friendly. The room was very clean and bedding and towels spotless. The room was a little small but as we were only staying overnight this was not a problem as we needed the room only to sleep in and to freshen up in. Great location, close to the... More

AS hostels go, there is not much to complain about the Danhostel Holbaek. The rooms are extremely basic, without even a mirror and there is nowhere to put anything in the tiny shower room. It is OK for a night and pretty good value all in all. Plenty of reasonable restaurants nearby. We found the restaurant in the hostel very... More

Dear guest Thank You for taking time, to write a review.
