We didn't really know anything this hotel, we just wanted a hotel in Covarrubias. What we got was a fantastic room, big and spacious with a nice big bathroom. We had a balcony overlooking the lovely countryside. There's a nice garden out front. The breakfast was good, plenty of parking space, reasonably priced bike hire. This hotel had everything. We... Carmen & her husband, owner of Dona Sancha made us very welcome at their hotel. What a lovely place, beautiful room with balcony overlooking their pretty garden and the town of Covarrubias. Comfortable bed and great shower, fan in bedroom kept us cool as it was a warm evening. Carmens suggestions for a restaurant were very good and we enjoyed... More

Modest but clean hotel close to the centre of Covarrubias a charming small town 30 minutes from Burgos; good base to explore the area historic sites. Good service, nice breakfast and quiet nights. Covarrubias itself warrants a thorough visit.

On our way to Covarrubias we pulled up to the side of the road to watch a flock of vultures. Unfortunately our car got stuck in the mud. To our surprise, one car after another stopped to help us and eventually someone pulled us out. The people in this area are very, very helpful and kind! As is the owner... More

This is a small, family run hotel and we definitely felt right at home. We arrived and were given keys to room 15 - a lovely room with a sit out balcony over looking the front garden area. The entire hotel has a wonderful, peaceful, welcoming feel to it. We walked in to town (300 m) for a bottle of... More

A very comfortable hotel with our room in particular having a balcony looking out over the front garden. My wife is coeliac and must not have gluten. The owners went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for her.Because we were touring and walking the reception provided us with local maps and guidebooks, which were really useful. The log fire... We were talked into coming to Covarrubias by an expat living there whom we had met in Bermeo. He also recommended Dona Sancha. We were not disappointed on either count. This small hotel is very attractive. The owners were very pleasant and helpful, as was their son. Our room was clean and comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the pretty... More
