I think from what I saw that summer would be amazing at this resort...they have walking trails, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats available and included in the cost to stay there. The restaurant would normally have been open but due to health issues it was closed when we were there so I cannot comment on it. I would recommend it for sure.... More

arrived late October when unfortunately a lot of things had closed but this did not take away the beauty of the area. The owners Irene and Jack And their son Peter were more than helpful showing us to our room and the workings of the various things. Advising us where to go to eat and where to visit. We got... More

Stayed here for two nights. Arrived around 3.30pm and was met by the owner. She was very nice and welcoming. The room itself was ok, somewhat outdated in decor but it was fine and warm. I would have liked some form of net curtain at the window as other guests walk by the windows so privacy could be an issue... More

Service is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and have the usual amenities even wifi (that cut-out most of the time). The price is right. The food is good - we were surprised that the thanksgiving dinner was only $15 and change ... we were expecting it to cost more. Odd that they didn't have a larger t.v. but... More

Spent a lovely time at the resort. Very clean and comfortable. Irena the owner was very helpful with maps and advice. Enjoyed the on site resturant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Pleasant room with very comfortable beds. After a day of hiking and fresh air we took our desert to our room and relaxed in comfort.

In response to a problem with our undercooked pancakes we were shocked that, instead of getting an apology for ruining our breakfast, the owner responded in a very arrogant and rude way “maybe next time it’s better you stay somewhere else”! She said if we see the pancakes as undercooked, that’s only our opinion! Clearly her opinion of our food... More

Well, if you tell the story, please tell the full story and not just a part of it. Each story has two sides to it, not just one. I am the owner and one of the cooks and being as such, I can tell the difference between cooked pancakes and undercooked. The reason I did not agree with your opinion... More

Late September and early October is a great time to visit Algonquin Park. The fall foliage is magnificent, the weather is mild, the bugs are gone and the number of visitors is managable. Coming from Ottawa, we spent the first afternoon of our two-day getaway in the park and stayed overnight at the Spring Lake Resort, not far from the... More

Spent a few days visiting Algonquin Park and stayed here at Spring Lake Resort. What a great place - very comfortable rooms with good amenities; nice grounds; and the food and service at the restaurant were excellent. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Spring Lake Resort recently. Irene was so welcoming and accommodating, she went out of way to ensure our comfort and well being. She even gave us a personal tour of the room! To our surprise, the room was very quiet even though the hotel is located next to highway... More

Definitely not the average motel experience, the service, care and attention to detail here were exceptional. The property was well maintained, and our room, which was comfortable and spotlessly clean, looked onto a well planted garden bordering a lake. it has a restaurant that serves the most welcome home style cooking - quality materials, all cooked fresh to order. The... More
