Recently taken to Purhurs by a friend, we had a great meal, the restaurant have various signature dishes and focuses on on local Danish food. The servings are large and staff very friendly, set in what appears to be the middle of newhere.

This was such a refuge having raced to the sjellands odder ferry from an awful hotel in Vedbaek. We had nowhere to stay and this wonderful old inn gave us a lovely if slightly dated room, with a shower that older people can actually use and very comfortable beds. Dinner service had finished, it was 22.30, but we were given... More

We were on our way from Aarhus ti Hals when our infant kid woke up and cried. We stopped at the first available stop and ended up at Purhus Kro. With no expectations at all we went in and were greeted heartfully by big Dane. I orderered the Sild, Silje the stjerne and little Jon ate some really homemade milk... More

Yet again, with my birthday to celebrate, we decided to give Purhus Kro, a whirl once more. Some people might think that my reviews are maybe a little biased, or ficticious. Well, let me tell you something, dear Tripadvisor reader. The food our party of 4 have just experienced, is nothing short of WORLD CLASS. None of this snobby gourmet... More

Was driving down south in Denmark looking for a nice place to have lunch. Found a sign to this restaurant by the highway and drove there. Excellent choice! The food is real authentic cooking with superb quality. Everything we ordered was top notch. The homemade Bearnaise sauce came in a huge bowl and was to good to let go so... More

We did not stay at this hotel but were invited here to have dinner with friends. The menu is qiute varied and their speciality is Elk medallions served in a red wine sauce. The Purhus Kro has been operating as an Inn since 1752. The Inn is located just off the E45 at exit 38 and easy to locate. If... More

What a fantastic place to stay, and the fooooood !!!!!! Perfect hosts, together with peaceful rural surroundings and dinner, fit for a king :-) It will certainly NOT be the last time our family visit Purhus. Oh yes, the kids loved the playground too.

I stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable and the food was really great. On Wednesday they have a Danish speciality dish in the restaurant called Stegt Flæsk, which was fab. Breakfast was continental style. Staff very friendly and welcoming, would stay again. Very picturesque and quiet location.
