Taken here for my birthday. Nice friendly staff when checked in. Shown to a room - no bath as requested - problem solved within five minutes! Great stuff. Fab cosy suite, delicious dinner (try the pork and the lamb) and plenty of prosecco to wash it all down with. Attentive staff without being pushy or in your face. Perfect night... More

I chose this pub based on reviews on Trip Advisor however I was a little disappointed with our stay. We stayed for two nights in the Cheltenham Suite which is not really a suite but a reasonable size room with and en suite bathroom. The accomodation is described as luxury but it is not really. Breakfast was good on both... More

Stayed one night on our trip around UK. Very quaint with old world charm. If your upstairs suitcases are not a good idea. We stayed in Room 5 above the bar. Nice room, beautifully decorated with quality fittings. Although you could hear the noise from below it did not go late

Had a very good stay for one night. Very friendly staff and a adequate room for a country inn. The inn is situated in a very old building, late 17 th century. The inside is spotlessly clean, as was the restaurant. Had a lovely dinner and hearty breakfast the next morning. Value for money.

Booked last minute but we were not disappointed. We arrived and checked in quickly and shown to our room. Although small and quaint in the main building it was quirky and a well presented room. We had dinner in the Restaurant as there was no where else within walking distance as this is a small village but again we were... More

Greeted by friendly staff who showed us round the Inn, we were taken to our room(s). This consisted of a comfortable sitting room with TV and Wi-Fi and a double bedroom which had modern décor, Pretty outlook over a garden. Excellent shower, however, the bed has rather hard. The crowning glory of this venue is the Food, both the dinner... More

On arrival the reception area was dark and resembled a taxi waiting room - with the seating being lined up around the room etc and I thought oh no I hope the rooms are ok..!! ..I was not disappointed the room (5) overlooking the front which was pleasant...it was bijou but clean and functional and decorated nicely..the bar and restaurant... Lovely place to stay, staff were great, nothing too much trouble, friendly and helpful. Food was excellent we ate in restaurant both nights, Fish n Chips, Mussels, and the lamb definitely recommended. Really friendly locals, a lady in the Village overheard me moaning my phone was dead as I'd forgotten my charger, she said her husband had the same phone... More

This is a lovely pub, a fantastic restaurant and a beautiful room(s) all in one idyllic location. The staff (and also other bar patrons and guests) were genuinely friendly and we felt very warmly welcomed. The food at the restaurant was very impressive, we both had the Lamb which was delightful (we may go back for the Lamb alone). The... More

This is perfect for a quiet break. The Lamb is beautifully decorated and maintained whilst retaining all it's old world charm. The staff make you welcome and are friendly.Food was good and there was plenty on offer at breakfast. The Lamb is in a really lovely village - if you go do have a walk around the village.
