me and 7 of my friends stayed at the River lodge in celebration for my graduation achievement. in getting there, we were drained seeing that we had been on the road for 6hours or so, the welcoming feel we received from the entrance by the security guard, the caretaker was breathtaking- as soon as our door was opened and we stepped... a group of us spent 4 nights at riverside lodge. Chalets are top class and the heating provided makes for good comfort even when cold outside. The walks and scenery are excellent and in the evenings we ate at the restaurant which is 5 star in every way. Staff are always friendly, accommodating and well trained and in particular our... We had the opportunity to holiday at the River Lodge 1 for two nights. Although the rain messed up our holiday we had a 'splashing' time. We hiked into the mountains and swam in the cold river. The accommodation is excellent and delivers on what it promises in the brochures. I will definitely go back and yes we already planned... More

We stayed with friends in the River Lodge en it was a pleasant stay with a beautiful view on the river . Go on a horse-rite true the beautiful mountains . It really is in the middle of nowhere so be sure that you bring wine and food if you don't want to have your meals in the Mountain lodge.... More

We had a lovely holiday here over the December period. My husband and I visited the main lodge a few years ago, but decided to return with family for a self-catering holiday. The good points: The view is amazing and visible from most rooms in the house. The sound of the river is loud and makes you feel like you... More

From the moment we arrived at Maliba Lodge we knew this was something very special. From the friendliness and attentiveness of all the staff , to the most exquisite food, the beautiful hotel and the majestic scenery, it made for a memorable experience. We stayed in one of the riverside huts which offer good value but more basic accommodation. There... More

Surrounded by mother nature, comfortable accommodations (we stayed in the River Lodge with two young children), friendly staff, and delicious meals. Horseback riding with the children on the flat trail along the river was great. We didn't want to leave!

We had plan to stay here two days. Because of rain, the rivers were unpassable, the path to the hotel a stream. We had to drive to the hotel to eat. Except from that we had a very nice stay. We spent the whole morning up in the hotel, and then drowe on.

Oh what a stunning place to rest and enjoy nature at it's basic. The trees, the running river just outside my window and comfortable indoors. The kitchen is fully kitted out so you can just about cook anything plus a barbeque stand outside, just bring your charcoal. Beds are comfortable with electric blankets. Perfect for family. Must go back!
