This lodge is set in the midst of wonderful nature reserve. Designed for both small and big groups, the lodge offers a relaxing and tranquil experience. We enjoyed the horse ride and riverside hike. You can easily spot big elands scavenging nearby, a fun for kids. The kitchen is fully equipped and the brai stand add the value.

Great place for a retreat. Quiet, calm and with several options of activities. The surrounding scenery was gorgeous and well worth exploring. The lodges were well maintained and had everything required for a self catering break. For those that don´t want to cook, there was a nice restaurant with amazing views in the main Maliba reception building.

Maliba has a 5 star mountain lodge, a river lodge that offers self-catering bungalows and riverside huts. We chose the self-catering option. The bungalows are large 2 store stone houses at the river. There are 4 bedrooms , 3 upstairs with the most breathtaking views of the mountains! The kitchen is well equipped and the deck offers great views as... More

We had a river lodge chalet . In the morning very cold ,but sunny, so we could have breakfast outside near the mountain Lodge. People were very helpful. Internet was good in the mountain Lodge. We saw some eland antilopes in the park , also outside, doing the uppertrail. We were the only guests . Dinner was perfect. The manager... More

The place is located in beautiful valley surrounded by magnificent mountains . I've stayed in the river cottages , can't describe the feeling of waking up in the morning and sitting outside on the veranda. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the restaurant. I find it overpriced and as good as you might expect. the rest is... More

our 2nd trip to Maliba Lodge in 3 months. We again experienced smart, friendly, well trained staff. On this trip we self catered in a river lodge No4. it was clean and welcoming. Unfortunately the seal was broken on the freezer section of our fridge, so our catering all defrosted for our onward trip through Lesotho. We also had a broken... More

We stayed two nights in Maliba lodge and we're blown away by the high standard of service. They give five star services for two or three star pricing. When you stay self catering you hardly expect to be greeted with fresh warm towels, to be asked if you need anything in the afternoon again, for them to accommodate last minute... More

This was our second stay, the first one was at the Mountain Lodge. The River lodge is self catering and much larger. As our children are older now it is not suitable to spend a holiday together as a family in the Mountain Lodge. We knew to expect the stunning surroundings but it was still breathtaking. And on this visit... More
