Unfortunately, the only downside to our visit to Maliba Lodge was that we only stayed one night! The lodge is very easy to find, well sign posted and is situated in a beautiful national park. We arrived to a warm welcome, cold refreshing towels and a drink. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Making your stay special was their... More

Stayed here in May 2011; ended up booking the Honeymoon suite for 3 days as it was the only one available. Most memorable was the warm welcome we received having driven across Lesotho for 8 hours, covered, alike our 4x4, in dirt. Perhaps spoilt by that as it had a wonderful view of the mountainous park from the balcony, and... More

We had two lodges for 3 nights in January on our trip through Lesotho. We found Maliba to be a bit hit and miss with it's service and standards though. The lodge istelf is fantastic, easy to find, well signed from the border posts, very scenic and pretty much new. The staff (Rose especially) were also very helpful (when you... More

The other reviews are right - I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in anywhere in the world. We had a two week trip to South Africa and I was hoping this would be as special as it looked on the website (plenty of other places we stayed in weren't). It was. Exclusive... More

Words can not explain the beauty of this place. This place meaning the lodge and also the Tsehlanyane National park. Firstly the lodge is tops !! Really beautiful and each smallest detail has been taken care of. Heated towel rails, Port in the entrance of room, fully stocked mini bar (including exceptional South African wine) bird and flower books in... More

Maliba mountain lodge provides a truly five-star experience in the middle of the Lesotho mountains. A mountain lover's delight. We travelled with my husband and 3-year old child. He loved the hikes and bathing in the river pools (we suggest the ones down by the river lodge, not the one near the car park). We loved the food and the... More

This mountain lodge facility is simply paradise. I stayed here for three nights with a colleague after a week of work in Maseru. What can I say. The facility consists of a main lodge with a dining room and a sweeping view of the mountains from a large deck, and five stand alone cottages. All are built in a traditional... More

After a long winding drive (be prepared) we got to maliba, what a view! Breathtaking and such a warm reception. We went for my birthday as a group of 4 staying at the chalets. The food was amazing, the portions look small but are so satisfying. Our rooms were lovely, warm, I enjoyed bathing to a wonderful view. The hiking... More

We spent 2 fantastic days at Maliba Lodge. The location is simply breath taking. The accommodation is exceptional and the food is fantastic. Only 4 hours out of johannesburg hidden in the Lesotho mountains. More

Having read an article some time back on the building of the Maliba Lodge, we were close to Lesotho and managed to get a booking for two nights at the Lodge. Travel was found to be easy and the lodge was well sign posted once through the Caledonspoort border post. It took a max of 10 minutes to pass through... More
