From the moment you arrive you start relaxing. The aromas and the music set the atmosphere for a wonderful experience. We always get a room with a mountain view because sunrise and sunset are awesome. It is the perfect place to celebrate Mother's Day, I have never seen such an amazing buffet.

The resort is very attractive, the surroundings are tranquil, and the rooms are comfortable. However, I had several problems that lead me to not recommend this hotel (plus the fact that it's overpriced for what you get). First, mandatory resort fees are deceptive. They are just a way to make the price seem lower than it really is in a... More

When you can see the Sandia Mountains right out your window or look up North to the Sangre de Cristos from the Courtyard area (There are two pools) it's as beautiful as they say it is. It is just minutes from Santa Fe and Albuquerque, just a shuttle away from the Santa Ana Casino and two minutes from golf on... More

Dear Michael- We greatly appreciate your review and wonderful comments. Even though I've worked here for quite a while, everyday I'm awed by the beauty of the mountains, and the "zen-ful" feeling I get when on property. I am so pleased that you too sensed the spiritual calm that is unique to Tamaya. We were happy to serve you and... More

My friend had just been in a car accident and I was trying to get over a cold so we thought the spa would help and it did! Everyone working the spa was so attentive and nice! We used the sauna and hot tub which really helped us feel better. It was very clean which made it even more enjoyable.... More

Dear Chiligirl67: I am so happy to hear that attentiveness of our spa staff, the clean & soothing waters of the hot tub, and the beautiful Tamaya Mist Spa surroundings were just what you and your friend needed to begin the healing process. Especially during challenging times, I find it's important to slow down and take care of myself. I'm... More

What a beautiful property -- far away from the hustle of the holiday season. The hotel was decorated beautifully and is set in a remote but gorgeous location. Very peaceful. The Corn Maiden restaurant was our Christmas Eve treat -- expensive, but amazing food and service. The chef even came out to ask about our meals -- my 11-year old... More

Dear Linda F: I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Chef Eric, Chef de Cuisine for Corn Maiden is wonderful, and I'm delighted that his personal attention made a positive impression on your child. Enjoy the New Year and I do hope you can return in the near future. More

We live in the area and the Tamaya is our favorite retreat. We love the quite, serene, and peaceful surroundings. The view of the Sandia Mountains from the Resort is simply breathtaking. We spent Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day enjoying one of our most enjoyable holidays. Our room overlooked the courtyard, with a balcony, and that is where we enjoyed... More

This is the 3rd time I have stayed here over the past few years. We live local so it's a great "stay-cation" for us. I booked a room for the night for just my wife and I as a Christmas present. I booked the AAA bed and breakfast package specifically for the free breakfast and the late check out. Well... More

Dear golobos: Thank you for your review and for your current and past patronage of the resort. Also thank you for pointing out the service shortcomings---clearly areas that need improvement. We appreciate you calling this to our attention. I apologize for your experience, but am grateful that other aspects of the resort were to your liking. Thanks again. More

Stunning property!! My boyfriend and I stayed at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa the day after Christmas. I used my free night courtesy of the Hyatt Chase Visa Card for this stay, and it was wonderful! We left behind the hustle and bustle of the 2nd most busy shopping day of the year, driving North of Albuquerque to the... More

Even though you are paying twice as much as comparable rooms, the staff is very rude and the managers try to squeeze guests for cash. Take the time to educate yourself on all the upcharges they forget to mention, and if you have zero problems at all during your stay you might like it as its a nice property. Just... More
