Hotel Kasteel Solhof is a 4-star luxury hotel, located in the quiet setting of a magnificent manor with a beautiful garden. The hotel is only a 10 min. car drive away from the centre of Antwerp and about 20 min. from Zaventem int. Airport and has lots of leisure facilities and restaurants close by. - Free parking space - Free Wifi - Extra space for meetings - Leisure and restaurants in close proximity
We stayed for 3 nights. The receptionists were extremely friendly and helped us to find restaurants for Dinner as the hotel only offers breakfast buffet (very Nice). Also they served coffee when we returned from the day trips. Aartselaar is located approx 12 km South of Antwerp. Remember to register your car to LEZ if you want to drive around Antwerp. Otherwise you risk a fine. The hotel is located in a beautiful area - Big court yard and garden. In one of the buildings there is a separate restaurant (Mille feuilles) - a little pricy, but delicious. We had a very Nice stay and would love to return.

Fine hotel located in Aartselaar, close to Kontich. We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who helped us on our way. There is an open bar with a fridge in the lobby, just take and write what you use, nice concept. The rooms are a bit dated and I have reasons to believe that the last renovation took place > 10 years ago. Despite this the rooms are clean, and quiet. In front of the castle is a parking place, easy to park here. Did not take a breakfast this time.

The history of Castle Solhof dates back to 1414 and at one time it was surrounded by moat and castle walls, the moat and turrets of the castle still survive today. Now a hotel the present owners bought the Castle in 1990. The entrance and cobbled courtyard are very impressive, with an ornate fountain / pond and neatly pruned hedges. At check-in the receptionist did not seem at all bothered about Covid and said I should remove my mask as it was not needed, even though I had just arrived from the UK and driven through France! I had a Superior Twin Room (#19) with two large beds. The room was nicely furnished, with maybe a table too many, and I loved the tall windows over looking the front courtyard. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for its free courtyard parking and I could see my car safely from my room. I had no meal plan at the hotel so I can't comment on that. My room was very warm and I couldn't see how to control the heating, so I opened both windows! The bed was comfortable and the room clean, but I do hate a shower in a bath with a clingy shower curtain. My room was €99 booked via Expedia.…

Visited this hotel in January as passed by the area during my work and stayed there one night. The hotel has a big entrance and nice parking. I was greeted by the receptionist who was on the phone at the same moment. Unfortunately during this difficult times with the COVID measures we need to wear a mask, andto my surprise the lady at reception did not wear it properly during her phone call. After the phone call she put it back on to get my details and offer me the key to my room. I am traveling around Europe for work during the COVID times and need to be extremely careful with this and to my surprise the receptionist did not comply with this. I really do not understand this thing of taking it off and on all day long..... the face mask is to put it on and leave all day. The next morning the gentleman at the reception had the mask on at all times and was extremely nice and polite so I thank him for that. The hotel should take measures and speak to their staff to keep the mask on at all times during work. Very disappointed and I don’t want to get infected from someone who does not care. …

The staff was very courteous and friendly. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. There are many good restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this hotel. The location and view of the park is beautiful.

Cozy lovely historic hotel. Rooms are in line with the historic atmosphere of the hotel, although more on the functional side. Good beds and mattresses. Kettle to make tea, well equipped cupboard. Large bathroom with a bath tub and a good number of toiletries, towel, etc. Breakfast was good, quite varied, although some foods were finished along the way and were not replenished. The same person at the reception was also doing the breakfast buffet, so probably she couldn't manage everything. The breakfast room has huge windows facing the amazing park of the property. Sufficient parking. It is very quiet because it is in a remote location. people should only book if they have a car to get to the property and not necessarily to get to Antwerp centre

The lady at the reception was super friendly and made me feel welcome. The room and the breakfast area are really beautiful. Also, I'm playing the augmented reality mobile app game Wizards Unite and if you are playing it too, you will find a Fortress, an Inn and a Greenhouse at the hotel. All of it was accessible from my room and also from the Breakfast Area. It's only a small gimmick for those who are playing this game, but really made my day. :)

I arrived at about 20.00 after a long day also having driven from London, and checked in efficiently - so far so good. I now discovered that the dining room was closed and that my options were pizza delivery or a 10 minute walk down the road in the pouring rain. I declined and had the remainder of a packet of peanuts from my car for my dinner and a bottle of beer from the bar. This wasn't a good start. The "suite" was a large room with random furniture scattered around almost as if they were trying to fill the room, but comfortable and very clean. My main problem was that all night there was an incessant, low volume, but obtrusive background noise by some form of electro mechanical device (bathroom vent?) not in my room but outside. This could be heard in the hall too. I reported this to reception the next morning when I checked out. A clean hotel hotel with polite staff with potential, but very overpriced because of its limited facilities…

The Hotel is situated in a very quite position, and next to a great Bistrot where you can have dinner if you do not want to drive. Hotel looks like it has been renovated, although furniture looks kind of old and a bit boring. Moquette on the floor looked new, but still... why moquette in 2019? As much as you can keep it clean, it will never really be so. Staff is very kind but in the morning there was just one guy covering breakfast rom (maybe I arrived late at 9,45 or so...the breakfast was being cleared and I just had one coffee and a piece of bread) and reception. I would recommend more for vacation than for business,
