Really interesting place to stay. We arrived on foot very hot, tired and hungry to find fabulous cafe on site that is open all day. The plate of cheese and bread was nothing like a British ploughmans - amazing selection of cheese beautifully presented. The rooms are like little cottages in a village, not plush but clean and comfy and... More

Okay, as people have said, it looks a bit rustic as you approach the grounds but that is exactly why this place is so special. Our Walk Inn tour company booked us here for two nights and this was our most favourite part of the tour. The location is spectacular! You feel as though you have stepped back into time... More

Amazing location ! Surrounded by pure nature ! It's located at the base of a huge rock and in front a mountain covered by forest. Great place to hike with many safe routes around ! Huge swimming pool and a small stream runs near by. Quite place to relax and wake up to the sounds of birds ! Friendly staff... More

We stayed here for the last 2 nights as part of a WALKINN Provence walking tour . It's an amazing location ! We could see it far down in the gorge as we walked in - it's rustic - a converted goat farm but we just loved the whole experience . Our room was clean ,basic, quite roomy and everything we... More

When we first arrived we were worried about the unkempt grounds and the rustic nature of the swimming pool, but once you got past that we found the staff most helpful and efficient, the room was spotless and a good shower. Best of all was the dinner with a type of antipasto plate with vegetables, tapenade, tuna pâté, mushroom toastie,... More

Auberge de Seguins Buoux is a former farm deep in the Buoux gorge which has been converted into an Auberge piecemeal over the past 50 years. Most people (except climbers) arrive by horseback, on foot or by bicycle. The food (there is nowhere else to eat in the gorge) was good, regional and hearty. The limestone cliffs, with the castle... There doesn't seem anything to add. Everythings already been said. Beautful auberge set into the Cliffs of Buoux. Huge room with mezannine and food was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Great place to meet other walkers and compare notes.

I read the 'excellent' ratings and felt I must be missing something, maybe for some reason we were in a basic room (although the tariff said €150 for two people). We are on a walking holiday so not looking for luxury but clean and in good condition would be a basic and as this was included in our trip price... More

A wonderful, beautifully authentic place surrounded by an astonishing view of the cliffs. The auberge is a nice, comfortable accommodation, with blocks of genuine stone architecture, and it has a gorgeous swimming pool to freshen up in the hot days of the summer. The food is very good and you have the possibility to do great walkings in the surrounding... More

If a hotel this beautiful, remote, and pristine were in the US, it would be $400 per night. You'd have satellite TV, hot tubs, and plenty of other pointless stuff that keeps out budget travelers. The owner of this hotel (who speaks perfect English) bought the place from her parents and runs it with her brother. She told me she... More
