It is a fantastic little romantic place. You can sit in the bath and look through the window onto the beautiful town from on high, as the gite is up a few minutes walk up a pretty pedestrianised hill from the town centre and river.

We spent three nights in Montmorillon - rather unexpectedly. We were enroute to the Pyrenees and some extended family members were vacationing in Montmrillon for two weeks. We decided to make a small detour in our travel plans to visit them. Not knowing anything about this area of France, I searched on the internet for a small place to stay....
