We stayed twice at this family run B&B set in a beautiful family property, and very close to the A28 motorway. It's literally 5 min away from the motorway and it is very quiet!! Our first experience back in December 2011 was so good that we decided to go back on our Easter break for one night stopover on our... More

We spent two very enjoyable, relaxing days in early March, 2013 at Chateaux de Sarceaux. Jacqueline and Herve are wonderful hosts and the hotel is first-rate. Centrally located near the national forest of Ecouves, the chateau is grand looking and most importantly, very comfortable. Great bed, as well as a very clean and modern bathroom with plenty of hot water.... More

We (three) spent two very pleasant days in the Château de Sarceaux and enjoyed our stay. The place is very well-maintained, PLENTY of heat, modern eco windows (double paned and insulated - yes they open), the rooms are spacious and calm, breakfast (which is included in the price and for those not used to the European style, this is worth... Very easy to find, close to the A28 autoroute. After our long drive from Bordeaux, we received an effusive welcome from Jacqueline. Our two family rooms (party of 8) were in stable/cottage conversions in the grounds, not far from the château. Both suites were individual: one fairly modern with an attic bedroom for 3, a ground floor bathroom, kitchen and... More

This is like walking back in History - What an amazing place. Jacqueline met us and showed us to our Room. Which was wonderful, lost of antique furniture and overlooking the lake. She then invited us to have tea outside. We then met Herve who said he would meet us on the patio at 7pm. We were greeted with a... More

We arrived here to a wonderful welcome from Madame Jacqueline and her husband Herves. Lovely surroundings steeped in history, the accomodation was excellent and very comfortable. We were joined by four other couples for an excellent four course dinner preceded by champagne and canapés . After which Madame played the piano for us in the drawing room. An excellent breakfast... I was determined to find somewhere really nice to spend the last night of our holiday on the way home from the south of France and I certainly succeeded! The Chateau de Sarceaux is all that I could have hoped for and far more. Our hosts were absolutely charming and great fun! They made us feel completely at home in... More

A fabulous stop over, to or from Calais, or great spot for a romantic retreat to discover the area. We discovered Chateau de Sarceaux online the day we stayed by having iPad with us. Herve and Carolyn, the Marquis and Marquise, are charming hosts, providing a warm welcome to their fine ancestral home. Our room, overlooking the park and lake,... More

Arrived late in the day to be greeted by the owner of the Chateaux and his wife. Booked for dinner with them and four other guests - excellent value and good food. Comfortable room, very quiet and convenient for A28. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.
