Our "deluxe room" was filthy and grubby and without any daylight. But only after the electricity had come back on after a prolonged power cut did we discover how filthy bathroom and toilet really were. It was a disgrace. Somebody had obviously been sick in the toilet but nobody had bothered to clean it up. The bathroom floor was covered... More

"The welcome is genuine" says one enchanted review. Not for us. Although our room had been reserved months before, for two nights and paid in advance, there was nobody to welcome us. The old keeper, with no knowledge of English, did not want to let us in: the" charming host family" had simply gone on holidays without telling anyone to... More

Real India at last. This hotel was not known to the auto-drivers that met the bus from Jaipur until we mentioned Baori Gate. The welcome is genuine, the food is good honest Rajastani cuisine prepared to ones taste. Our room was the largest, hot water available thru' electric guyser, bed surprisingly warm altho' cold outside. The location is great to... More

Of all the places we stayed along the "Golden Triangle", we would remember this one the most. The natural grace and charm of the host family made us feel at home and welcome. The young son volunteered as our museum guide, mother and father made the most delicious dinner and joined in delightful conversation. We recommend this place to all... More

The highlight of our visit to Rajastan! This family sent their son to guide us to around the town, sat and talked with us before preparing a wonderful meal, made us feel like honored guests in their home. Absolutely delightful!

This place is really a guesthouse. Very clean, nice rooms in the center of town. Excellent food and they serve beer which is a bit hard to find in Nawalgarh. The owner is the cook and gives excellent personal service. We didn't actually stay here, but ate dinner on the roof and toured the facility. Wished we had booked there... More

This was visited during a trip around Rajasthan in late October 06. It is scrupulously clean and the owner Mrs. Jyoti Basotia seems determined to do as much as possible to please her guests. There are 10 bedrooms and the food was delicious and very cheap (150 rupees for a 3 course lunch!) Well recommended!
