Christine and her husband are lovely --- the rooms are tranquil -- the breakfast a great chance to practice your French with other guests - it is overall excellent value .. We have been there twice now .. and we have vowed that it will be our first stop on all future trips as we head south from the Chunnel.... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of November. We stayed in the Chambre Bibliotheque which was at the far end of the long house. We had a large room with nice bathroom attached, plus easy access to a "winter kitchen" room below...with working fireplace, nice seating and small kitchen. Christine and her husband were friendly,... More

The accomodation is truly authentic and we felt we were in the middle of France and part of the countryside. There is tremendous history with this manior, dying back to the 15th century, as well as more recently with the wars and the families monumental efforts in restoring this place to its beauty, all on their own. The rooms are... More

Our stay at Manoir de la Semoigne was a delight. It was the perfect place for us -- off the beaten track in a tiny village. Great base to explore the Champagne / Picardy area by car. The owners are terrific: helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We stayed in Chambre Bleu, which provided a great view of the horses roaming in... More

The last time we were in Champagne, we stayed in Reims and pretty much limited our experience to the city and the wine houses there. This time, we decided to venture out and boy are we glad we did. Our search led us to a marvelous B&B in the small village of Villers Agron (a few miles west of Epernay... More

A delightful stopover on the way home from the South ; the rooms are old fashioned but huge with excellent beds and plentiful hot water ; the Ferrys were delightful hosts with excellent English and even though our total stay was less than 16 hours we managed a 3 km walk and back to a local village for a good... Just returned from a fantastic trip to Champagne. The Manoir de la Semoigne is delightful, as are the family who own it. We stayed there five nights and used the Manoir as a base for exploring the Champagne area and the surrounding vineyards. The grounds are lovely. I am an animal lover and delighted in walking in the fields each... More

We had a great time here - loved the farmhouse and the area and having stayed in a Reims city centre hotel before found this much more pleasurable, although of course you will need a car. Breakfast was typically french, but good (home-made yogurt and lovely brioche). If it's not there, ask for it - they were very obliging to... More

This was a real treat to stay and although not the cheapest Chambre d'Hote in the world our rooms were charming and very homely. My wife and my room was the Yellow Room, and was very spacious with a large comfortable double bed and attached bathroom - with the loo in the turret. The room was more peach than "yellow"... More

I'm surprised at the negatives in some of these reviews - we stayed for 2 nights in the Chambre Jaune and were incredibly comfortable and rested. The bathroom extends into the turret - nice piece of design - the sitting room was cosy with a good book selection, the bed was perfect. Breakfast in the hall was civilised and plentiful,... More
