The owner was incredibly helpful to us and speaks perfect English, he even phoned for a pizza delivery. The site itself is quirky, a mix of open pitches and very secluded woodland pitches in an old quarry. The showers are warm but far frim hot unfortunately and the toilets have no seats so are a little chilly. There is a... More

We stayed there over bank holiday weekend for the Chantilly Triathlon 7km away. The owner was really lovely and provided us with everything we need. We had a camper car and a tent for 4 people and we were told to choose our own site. The campsite is divided into sections separated by trees or a hill. Kids (and kids... More

It was august but the forecast was wet so we opted not to put our small tent up and instead rent a.gypsy caravan. Being cyclists we had very little in the way of comforts such as chairs and tables so a caravan with somewhere to cook, eat and sleep was luxury for us. We stayed 4 nights and couldn't fault... This is an interesting site created in a quarry. There are positives and negatives to this site. What i am about to write is my opinion from our weeks holiday. Firstly the manager/owner. He was really nice, very pleasant and VERY helpful however i can understand why some people may misinterpret his actions. He works extremely hard keeping that place... More

We stayed one night in bungalow number 1. The bungalow was very dirty, all over there was some dirt, including the beds. It was smelling cigarettes badly. In the end we couldn't sleep in the bedroom, as the smell was terrible and beds were full of dirt. So we ended up to sleep in the main room, witch was missing... More

We stayed at this site on Friday 4 October 2013, as we were catching a ferry home on the Saturday. We found it by looking in the Carefree Caravan and Camping guide. It looked on paper ok. We booked in with the owner at 5pm. Seemed relaxed, took our money but did not take our name address etc, and did... More

Stopped here on the way back to Calais and wish we had left a few more days to explore the region - you can get the metro into Paris from nearby. Went to Chantilly which is beautiful. Friendly host, quirky campsite - cute Fort and pool for the kids. We stayed in a lodge - 2 beds, housed all 5... More

Quirky campsite situated on the hill, above pretty French village, Saint-Leu-d'Esserent. Very green and lush site, with lots of places to walk and explore - especially fun for kids. Good location near Chantilly, lots of places to visit/ cycle, well served with hypermarkets and close to train station to catch train to Paris. We stayed in one of the Gitotel... More

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 boys age 11 &14. We stayed here on the recommendation of a friend as you can get a train for the village into Paris. On arrival we were greeted by a gentleman on reception who may have even the site owner. He spoke brilliant English and was extremely friendly and very... More
