Visited on a Thursday lunchtime , was just passing and decided to pop in . I didn't want too much so decided on the salt and pepper squid ... What a treat .. It was cooked to perfection in a garlic butter , lemon and tomato sauce and was absolutely fantastic !! And this is in a pub , the... More

We stayed locally and popped in for a meal, we didn't book and although they were busy they were very accommodating, staff were very friendly and we took our 2yr old grandson and he was equally welcome. They have a beer garden but due to weather we didnt get to see this. the food was really nice my husband said... More

We stayed at the Bull Inn for one night for a family get together. Gill and Phil have created a pub with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms upstairs were warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable - a great night's sleep after a wonderful dinner!

We stayed on a Sunday night and were the only people doing so that night. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The twin room was quite small but more than adequate for an overnight stay with a view over the centre of the small village. The beer garden is on the banks of the River Ure - this makes... More

Popped in here for lunch on a Sunday 30th September. Upon entering the pub, it didn't seem too busy; with plenty of seating. We walked up to a waitress and asked if we could have a table for two. Acting as if they didn't want our business; she snapped that we could only order any of the sandwiches or a... More

The Bill Inn is a gorgeous little pub in a beautiful setting. We sat in the beer garden on the river for hours just watching the world go by! We also had a meal indoors and the food was delicious. Will definitely return and recommend.

Stopped here again as part of a trip to Ripon races. There as been a change of owner from last time but that is all. The service and welcome was excellent and nothing is too much trouble. The food for the evening meal and breakfast was excellent. The rooms are comfortable with everything you need to make your stay pleasant.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights this August and had to say it is quite charming. How good is it to share your evening drink with with the locals of a country village and their dogs. It must be a Yorkshire thing. The rooms are clean and airy with plenty of room. We ate in the first night and the food... More

Enjoyed a one night stay at the Bull recently and found it to be excellent all round. The landlady took over in October 2012 so any reviews prior to this date aren't really valid. Our room, no 1, was spacious and spotlessly clean....I noticed a previous reviewer has commented on it being a bit tired. I think the best description... More
