We absolutely love this hotel and whenever we've stayed, we can't wait to book again. Everything about the hotel is spot on, the rooms are beautiful and luxurious. The deluxe rooms are stunning. I'm a vegetarian and the restaurant provides an amazing vegetarian menu - very rare and so nice to be able to have lots of choice. The menu... More

I recently stayed at the Buccleuch and Queensberry hotel whilst on a short golf trip. We were hugely impressed with the quality of the rooms, the friendly service and the fantastic food. Beyond this, the atmosphere was great with the dining room busy on a Thursday evening as many took advantage of the 'Steak evening'. We will be returning.

WOW! Completely blown away by our stay at the Buccleuch Hotel. The rooms were very nice with excellent large bathrooms and the food in the restaurant was fantastic. The real treasure at the hotel however is the staff! They were all incredibly attentive and did everything they could to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The Hotel manager Allister... More

Generally positive. Nice rooms and bathroom but they have a function room on the first floor which is very close to the accommodation. I would certainly check with them and get their assurance that there is NO function on before booking a room there again. Scottish breakfast was fantastic - bar meals in the evening a little bland and disappointing.Some... More

We stayed at the Buccleuch Hotel after making a poor choice at a neighbouring place of accommodation. The hotel was very hospitable and had a lovely sense of history as well as being centrally located to historical sights. The food in the restaurant was very good quality and of generous portions. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. I would... More

We stopped off here en route to the Lake District and were so impressed with the place. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished and the bathroom had Molton Brown goodies. Dinner was excellent and not silly prices. Service was professional and timely. Would definitely recommend - this was a real find!

We had a fantastic time at the Buccleugh & Queensberry Hotel on Saturday. We went for a long late lunch - the food was absolutely delicious, quick to arrive and great value too. There is also a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend!

Stayed at the Buccleuch & Queensberry hotel as were visiting family in Thornhill. Warm welcome received from staff on arrival. The hotel room was beautifully decorated, the furniture was quality and the room was clean, comfortable and spacious with interesting furnishings and decorative pieces. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and found the food, service and price extremely... More
