Mt colleague and I were booked into this hotel for only two nights for a work based stay, we were made that welcome and the rooms, food and drinks were that good we decided to cancel out next hotel and stay here for the rest of the week despite having to travel more miles than we needed. The rooms are... More

The Buccleuch is a newly renovated Inn. The rooms are large and furnished to a very high standard with great bathrooms. All the rooms are unique. The bar and restaurant are of high quality with good service. Only down points are that the menu is quite small which is no problem for a night or two, but could be if... More

Stayed here with my partner in April for a quiet night away. We got a great deal including dinner, bed and breakfast. The hotel refurbishment is simply beautiful and the food at the restaurant was first class. I was worried because there was only one vegetarian option on the menu, but it was delicious! Our room was stunning, could have... More

We had a wonderful stay here. Ali and the staff are fantastic, as is the bar entertainment! The beds were dreamy and the food was SO delicious I wanted to eat it all again even though I was full. We love how it’s been restored, it’s very elegant and traditional but also welcoming and cosy.

I am only receiving the service and food as I have not had the pleasure of staying over yet but I'm sure they are outstanding. Both service and food in the restaurant and above excellent. We went in last November on a wet cold day, we were greeted with open fires and smiles from the staff. The decor is modern... More

Stayed here recently for one night. The building has been beautifully refurbished, the food was fantastic, the real ales were exceptionally well kept and the wines were of great quality. The log fires added to a wonderful warm ambience created by the polite, friendly and efficient staff. This is a special place and I am already planning a return visit... More

Stayed here for one night for my birthday. Excellent value for money, room was fantastic and food was to die for. Entertainment was nice and added to the ambience in the restaurant. Beautiful location and we will be returning again soon.

Mum and I had decided to turn back the clock and visit old haunts from the time we lived in Dumfries over 40 years ago. An offer spotted on a deals site decided that we would stop off here overnight. What a pleasure! The hotel itself had obviously recently undergone a refurbishment and public areas and rooms were all spotlessly... More

Visited here for two nights, on a special deal. Reception was warm and friendly. Our room at the front of the hotel was spacious, clean and well appointed, with a lovely bathroom with walk in shower, and complimentary, good quality toiletries. the bed was large and comfortable. There was a hospitality tray, but the kettle had no electrical socket near... More
