We spent our first night in Costa Rica at the Finca Rosa Blanca and spent our trip looking forward to our last night when we would stay again. The rooms and common areas are charming, the food is excellent and the staff is warm and gracious. The fresh tuna entree was delicious. And be sure to take advantage of the... More

We needed a place to stay our first night in Costa Rica, close to the airport. Finca Rosa Blanca was perfect - they arranged a taxi to drive us the 25 minutes or so from the airport, and to take us back the next morning. The driver was friendly and prompt, and aware of traffic conditions, suggesting we leave earlier... More

We had the great fortune to stay here right when the Turrialba volcano erupted (no worries it was miles and miles away). But it did create havoc for guests when flights into and out of San Jose were cancelled. We saw a staff that was very accommodating to those guests immediately impacted. Volcanoes erupting are a rare occurrence. The care... More

It is beautiful. The staff is helpful. The food was good. What more is there? I highly encourage you to splurge and treat yourself to this first class hotel. There is art everywhere and a view all the way to San Jose. We loved our stay!

We aren't the most experienced 5-star travelers, but we've been around. This was genuinely the nicest hotel room that we've ever seen, and I'll try to describe our perspective because it may not be yours. This was our first visit to FRB and Costa Rica, so take that into account too. We splurged on the Rosa Blanca room which was... More

Excellent view of San Jose and it's plain from this peaceful coffee plantation and inn. Rooms ok but poor curtains,so wake up at dawn. Coffee from their own beans. Decent wine list. Helpful front of house. Would stay again.

Dear player296; Thank you for writing in to tripadvisor. I am very happy you enjoyed your stay, even if the morning light did wake you up rather early. We do have drapes in all the rooms, but perhaps you didn't see them or realize they were there? We are in the tropics but we are very temperate in climate (average... More

This hotel we chose as it was located in the Central Valley, and it being close to San Jose airport. It was the last hotel of our honeymoon, and we wanted a place to relax after an action packed couple of weeks. The hotel architecture and art had exceptional character and is unique. We stayed in the main house, which... More

Sadly we only had one night at this amazing Hotel and we arrived too late to visit the coffee plantation and go on a bird spotting expedition. We stayed in a very comfortable room in the main building with a great terrace overlooking the plantation. The decor is very unusual and special in its own unique way. Their swimming pool... More
