Casa Grande is in a beautiful forested valley well off the beaten path. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms are basic but comfortable. Very comfortable as a matter of fact. Our big complaint was that the walls of our building were paper thin and we could easily hear our neighbors, even the sounds of zipping a suitcase... More

My friends and I stayed 3 nights in a beautifully situated prior coffee plantation. The rooms are ample in size and are joined 4 together under one large chalet with outside balcony and hammock. Meals, although not included in price, are very reasonably priced and quite tasty. Usually breakfast and dinner is sufficient daily, and views from the main outdoor... More

Had a multi-night stay here. The location is visually stunning - tucked into a lush mountainside. Our room was clean, no-frills, with two beds. Extra bedding is provided. The pool area has lounges and the water was comfortably warm for a swim one afternoon. The eating area is wonderful and has spectacular views. Eating and drinking is a joyous experience.... More

Puerto Rico is not only beaches, also has mountains and Casa Grande is a very nice place to do something different. You have to spend at least one night here apart of everything, only nature and you. This place has no TV or radio is very peaceful. You can take Yoga in the morning and do some hiking during the... More

We stayed two nights at this beautiful place in Utuado. We had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, the second night had some inconsiderate neighbors and we had to have the care taker make them stop the loud talking! They have quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am but the neighbors had to be reminded of this. They have a beautiful... More

Stayed one night on a recent road trip around the island. Rooms were clean and comfy.Really enjoyed the outdoor hammocks. Swam in the pool - got a massage - ate. It was all very pleasant. The setting was not near as private or "away" as I had imagined from the web material. Lodge grounds are very small and on a... More

This hotel is located in the mountains and is very charming. Please note, it does NOT have televisions or air conditioning in the rooms. NOT a problem, but some guests have unrealistic expectations. Usually, in the evening, the temperatures are very comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing but ok if you like hard boiled eggs (we don't). Dinner was good, but you... More

We're glad you enjoyed your stay at Casa Grande. The morning we offered hard boiled eggs as part of the buffet we also served fresh tropical fruit, yogurt, homemade granola, french toast made with pan criolla (local club bread), hot oatmeal with coconut milk, white and whole wheat bread, peanut butter, jelly, coffee, tea, cranberry, orange and parcha juices. I had a wonderful time at this hotel! I came for a week long yoga retreat. Every morning and evening we went into the clean, relaxing, beautiful yoga temple for yoga/mediation. Our package had 3 meals a day and they were great and plenty of it. Even the packed lunches for our side trips were well done. Staff was extremely... More

What a beautiful resort! Great chef, great staff, wonderful owner and the yoga was wonderful. We did not stay there but utilized many services and felt welcomed. I will stay with them next time. Awesome massage.
