Just returned from a relaxing short stay (5 days) in 'Saule' cottage. We could happily have stayed 5 weeks! The setting is perfect for families; Nicole and Alex have gone to great lengths to ensure that the needs of little ones of all ages are catered for with a huge range of indoor and outdoor toys, bikes and DVDs. We... More

My husband and I and our 4 year old daughter have just returned from an idyllic stay in Chêne cottage, les Limornières. I cannot praise Nicole and Alex enough for the wonderful setting they have created and their warm hospitality, les Limornières is simply magical and Chêne cottage was just perfect for us. On arrival Nicole and Alex had provided... More

Stayed in summer 2011 at the start of a 5 week family tour of France and Spain with our kids aged 4 and 2. They enjoyed playing with other children and hens and on trampoline, we enjoyed the charming accommodation, communal dinner with other guests for one night, and dinner delivered to Chene cottage another night. Plus an in- room... More

Alex & Nicole truly made our stay wonderful. In particular after our little daughter arrived with some nasty burns, they helped us connect with the local nurse to have dressings changed - thanks ever so much! Our stay was tranquil. Our daughter loved feeding the chickens in the garden with leftovers! The website photos don't do justice to the lovely... More

This was our third visit to Les Limornières, each occasion more than living up to expectations. As usual, Alex and Nicole proved to be very welcoming hosts. If you can't be bothered to cook (let's face it, it's a holiday after all!), then you can't do much better than have one of Nicole's home-cooked three course suppers with wine, made... More

We stayed in Noix for nine days in mid August (2013). The setting is perfect for a toddler and family, and the owners are absolutely great. We were very lucky and had stunning weather, so took full advantage of the swimming options nearby (the river at Lesigny is especially good, and the water slides in Descartes are great fun!), the... We stayed in Saule and it is very well equipped with everything you could think of. You really could arrive with just clothes and toiletries for the kids and everything else is there. They loved all the toys and books already in the cottage for them and decided to sleep with the teddies which they found on their beds on... More

We have just returned from our second stay at Les Limornieres. We have previously stayed in Chene but this time decided to stay in the larger Noix so our five year old daughter could have a room to herself- and hopefully stay in it! We were very impressed with the cottage, like the others set round a grassy courtyard. Inside... More

We have just stayed two weeks at Les Limornieres. Alex and Nicole have put a lot of work and energy into creating an ideal rural destination for people to base themselves and to return to after having explored the interesting local villages and the Loire area. As hosts, Alex and Nicole were very helpful and their own enthusiasm was very... More

We have recently returned from our third stay as Les Limornieres and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a family holiday in rural France. There are three gites (we have stayed in two - Chene and Noix) set in beautiful surroundings and are meticulously maintained by Alex and Nicole. Full of rustic charm, they have all the clean modern... More
