Amazing staff - one of the best service we have ever experienced, very kind, professional and extremely helpful (above all we have to mention Domingo). wonderful food - it is worth to stay in this hotel just because of that - the restaurant has been several times in the Michelin guide, the food is prepared from fresh local ingredients (thank... We arrived for a one night stay on our way to Tamariu in the Costa Brava. After a long drive from France it was delightful to soak in the bath and relax in the lovely room. The 3 course dinner was great and included a bottle of wine each for 18 Euro per person! Only downside was the weather but... More

A lovely old stone building with a warm welcome. We were the only guests for our one night stay. We had unknowingly reserved rooms in the wooden annexe in the hotel garden but were offered an upgrade in the main building at a good rate. We took it because there were regular evening thunderstorms in the area at the time... More

One night stop as part of a road trip. We were the only residents and diners, and got great service. Beautiful situation and quirky fixtures. Excellent food. Only one negative comment - the bath could have been cleaner, which must have been an oversight as everything else was immaculate. We very much liked the ethos and attitude of this place.

This place is a jewel! It's tucked into the hills of the Pyrenees, near the towns of Planoles and Ribs de Freser. It's just off the two lane road that leads over the pass deep into the mountains. The original structure will built in 1076 and it has an old world -- but elegant and upscale -- feeling to it.... More
