We spent very relaxed an pleasant days at this peaceful place with the very polite land-lady. She served us most delicious breakfast and diner always fresh and carefully prepared. Very nice and clean rooms and generous ambiente. Especially the beautiful garden which you face sitting on your private terrace invites you to stay there the whole day. Johannes and Corinna... More

We spent 3 nights at Granny Mouse for our second wedding anniversary and it was lovely and relaxing. We were in the self catering accommodation, which more than catered for our needs. Hogsback is a beautiful place and Granny Mouse is situated in a lovely quiet spot, with it's own stunning gardens and pool. Definitely a romantic getaway!

From initial contact Granny Mouse and our hostess Ingrid went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Guest cottage beautifully appointed, cuisine sublime and relaxed evenings with a great raconteur! We could be as private or as sociable as we liked , while service remained impeccable. Great value !! A stay at Granny Mouse House offers excellent accommodation, delicious food, the opportunity for total relaxation in superb surroundings and a delightful host, in fact everything we look for in a holiday. Our large en-suite Garden Room was so restful: a really comfortable bed with cosy duvet, and electric blanket if needed, and cane seats on the verandah where we... More

Booked to stay there based on the ads and the website, which all looked nice. Our room was fine but the other two were dark and dingy. Breakfast was extremely basic, stale cereal and sour milk (which the host said could not be because they had got it fresh that morning, only when she smelt it did she agree, no... More

What an enchantment place. This guesthouse is an absolute must for travelers! Not only is it set in the beautiful area of Hogsback but has the best host too. We found the Granny Mouse House in the Lonely Planet travel guide and it sounded like a great place to unwind after travelling up the garden route from Cape Town with various stops on the way. It was an inspired choice situated in the Amatole Mountains with terrific scenery and walks on our doorstep. The accommodation is well signposted passed... More
