Just returned from a mid week break on a Scottish David Urquhart coach tour of Skye and the Scottish highlands in Wester Ross and Sutherland. We were based in the little village of Garve which has as it's main attraction, the hotel. The hotel is a former lodge style building added on to over the years to create the present pleasant... More

We stayed here as part of a group weekend away with David Urquhart travel and had a most enjoyable visit The food was excellent and all staff were pleasant. The rooms were clean although there was a lack of soundproofing between rooms and floors. The TV was a small 12" screen and the remote wasn't working. The whole hotel décor... More

Stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is really old but staff young ( from Czech Republic ) and could not be more helpful. Food basic but perfectly adequate. Rooms a little dated but comfortable and clean. Nice lounge with wi-fi and good sized entertainment hall plus two nice seating areas for evening meal.Gardens are lovely... More

Main building is kingdom of kitsch, most of guests are elder people, and you get precise time to have dinner and breakfast, but: - apartments are ugly (especially the bathroom, what's that rubber hose to have shower in the tub?!?) but with plenty of space for 4 people, kitchen, fridge, etc. - dinner food is good, and at a fixed... The Hotel could do with some TLC but what the Hotel lacks the Staff more than make up for. We booked in for DB&B. The double room was clean & the bed comfortable. The evening meal was good as was breakfast the following morning. As there was a bus party booked in there was entertainment that night, which was most... More

We were stuck for somewhere to stay so my parents booked this as a treat for us when we were travelling around Scotland on our honeymoon. Probably the worst hotel I've stayed in! The room was clean but had a lumpy bed and the bathroom door didn't shut at all, decor hasn't been updated since hotel was built many moons... More

The Garve Hotel is in a time warp from the 1970's. The staff are very friendly but the bedrooms are past their best. The bath and shower (handheld shower) sprayed water everywhere but in the bath and couldn't be used. We left without a shower. On checkout we were told that the clientele they catered for didn't care if they... More

We booked online and did not know what to expect. On arrival we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. They were obviously very busy with coach tours. It is an older place but the rooms were comfortable and clean. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was good and the staff handled the busy morning very well. Wifi only in reception which was... More
