Friendly, clean, comfortable standard double room, big car park, very good buffet breakfast if like us you don't demand a big fry-up. Excellent value at LateRooms rate. No need to eat at the fast-food joints across the car park: turn right as you walk out of the entrance, and find good pub food at the Skiff Inn across the road. more

We stayed at this hotel on a weekend shopping trip. The location was ideal being only a 10 minutes walk to the Metrocentre and only 10 minutes by taxi in to the city centre for a night on the town! The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and all the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you.... more

For a basic place to stay, and a really good price, I wasn't expecting too much, but was pleasantly surprised. Everything exceeded my expectations - despite the budget price. Clean, bright, modern,well equiped, and pleasant staff. I travel to the area regularly, and will be making this my regular hotel. more

For some reason this chain thinks it acceptible to charge guests £15 for a nights wi-fi. This is daylight (if not nightime) robbery and in protest I will not book Holiday Inn Express again until they stop ripping me off. Rooms are as basic as a Travel Lodge with little to commend them.
