I wish I'd read trip advisor before booking this hotel. The fact that I'm lying in bed at the hotel writing a review should be testament enough. Pluses: great location, warm and comfortable, staff helpful. Minuses: a combination of the worst sound insulation in the world and noisy/disrespectful patrons who talk and have the TV going until the small hours.... More

Towards the end of June and early July of 2015, I hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc with a group of 12 other hikers. The outfitter was HF Holidays.  I had traveled with them before, hiking England Coast to Coast, and the West Highland Way (Scotland).  Those experiences were outstanding.  I was looking for another multi day strenuous hike.  The... Nice cosy hotel in the Chamonix valley without all the hype of Chamonix Centre Ville. Rooms nice size and clean. Right in centre of the village yet close to hiking trail. Good value for money and certainly 3 star. Only negative is the traffic noise but that is typical of these types of villages also wifi has cumbersome login system... More

Our room was full of windows that allowed a fresh breeze and loads of sunshine. The room was designed well and large enough to supply a dining table and chairs. The reception staff was the most friendly and helpful of all my stays during my two week trip through the Alps. The hotel charmingly nestles appropriately into the character of... More

I was travelling alone with my two young children (4 and 6) for their first ever skiing trip (for all of us). The staff were friendly, caring and attentive. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the manager happily warmed milk up for my youngest late at night. They helped us find the ski slopes and gave us directions to various... More

Hotel was in a good location right on the main road but main problems were in the staff and lack of attention. Rudeness was commonplace and quite an effort seemed to go into this by a couple of the older staff. The fire alarms went off in the middle of the night twice in my five night stay with no... More

Less than good value for money. No daytime drinks. Some staff off hand and very rude barman which put us off eating in the hotel. Dont ask for ice - you get charged !! We got ours from the bar opposite . Begrudged giving out glasses for use in the room . Lounge area locked late evening . No fire... More

This is an excellently-run hotel, opened 150 years ago and run by the same family for over 60 years. The mother still regularly (wo)mans reception. It is the best of the best of it's kind, with good secure parking, ski room, a very innovative arrangement with the restaurant next door (excellent quality - best in Argentiere - and good value)... We stayed here 5 days in March, and the location couldn't have been better. 10 minute walk to Grands Montets lift, lots of restaurants and cool bars within steps of the hotel front door, and we avoided the tourism hustle and bustle of Chamonix town by staying in Argentiere. With an awesome dry room for storing skis, plenty of parking... More

Decent basic hotel with very good location in Argentiere. Walking distance to great skiing on Grand Montets, 100m to the supermarket, 100m to Tourist Bureau, 100m to the Mountain Guide office and The Office (Brittish bar) just across the street. Nice restaurant with good food in connection to the hotel with 10% discount for hotel guests. Rooms are quite basic... More
