This is a nice hotel. Dinner was great - lots of guest just going there to eat, so that was a nice feeling of eating out. Breakfast was somewhat limited, but ok, pretty cosy rooms for the breakfast. Room was clean and ok. Do i go there again? Maybe

The Hotel Couronne is easily found in the centre of the village. It appears to cater mainly for the skiing clientele, although it is still busy in summer catering for hikers (such as myself) and those wanting to enjoy the mountains in the summer. The staff speak English and are friendly. Our room looked out onto the main street and... More

We hiked from Trient which was 10 miles with a 3500 foot elevation gain and loss. We were given a room on the second floor which was spacious, very clean and hatd an excellent bathroom with double sinks and a high pressure shower. The outside of the hotel looks charmingly old fashioned but the rooms inside are modern and very... More

OK, I have to frame this review around the circumstances that brought us to this hotel. We had just finished a 21 miler on the TMB and had to walk about 20 minutes off trail (not a big deal, you say, well try it after 21 miles in the Alps!) to the town of Argentiere with no hotel reservation in... Stayed for one night during the Tour of Mont Blanc. Rooms were tiny. Toilet at one end of the room and shower/sink at the other. You can hear everything that's going on in the rooms around you! Floorboards very squeaky. Charming place with lots of character and they pride themselves on the building being 150 years old but some internal... More

I wish I'd read trip advisor before booking this hotel. The fact that I'm lying in bed at the hotel writing a review should be testament enough. Pluses: great location, warm and comfortable, staff helpful. Minuses: a combination of the worst sound insulation in the world and noisy/disrespectful patrons who talk and have the TV going until the small hours.... More

Towards the end of June and early July of 2015, I hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc with a group of 12 other hikers. The outfitter was HF Holidays.  I had traveled with them before, hiking England Coast to Coast, and the West Highland Way (Scotland).  Those experiences were outstanding.  I was looking for another multi day strenuous hike.  The... Nice cosy hotel in the Chamonix valley without all the hype of Chamonix Centre Ville. Rooms nice size and clean. Right in centre of the village yet close to hiking trail. Good value for money and certainly 3 star. Only negative is the traffic noise but that is typical of these types of villages also wifi has cumbersome login system... More

Our room was full of windows that allowed a fresh breeze and loads of sunshine. The room was designed well and large enough to supply a dining table and chairs. The reception staff was the most friendly and helpful of all my stays during my two week trip through the Alps. The hotel charmingly nestles appropriately into the character of... More

I was travelling alone with my two young children (4 and 6) for their first ever skiing trip (for all of us). The staff were friendly, caring and attentive. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the manager happily warmed milk up for my youngest late at night. They helped us find the ski slopes and gave us directions to various... More
