Attracted by free off road parking I pulled off the main road into San Jose to find a gem of a place. The Reception was manned by the owner Rene who thankfully and unusually for this area was fluent in English as well as his native tongue French and Spanish. He and his family run the hotel and adjacent hostel... More

Nice hotel. Nothing fancy but no problems at all. Pleasant staff, seemed to be family-run, and the manager spoke English. Good value pricing, fine offstreet carparking out the front (so you don't have to navigate into San Jose, though it's a small place) About 5 mins or slightly more to walk to the village strip of restaurants etc, maybe 10... This is a wonderful family run hotel in what must be a very busy sea-side town in the Spanish summer. We travelled through at New Year 2011/12 and stayed two, very pleasant nights while we were walking the Cabo de Gata. Our room was cozy, very clean with modern bathrooms; it also had a nice sun-soaked balcony overlooking the pool.... More

Although we stayed out of season this is a small and typical "real" Spanish hotel. The hotel is not in the city of Almeria but in a place called San Jose in the Cabo Gata National Park. A beautiful area, remarkably mountainous with brilliant beaches nearby. The hotel is situated just on the edge of the town/village which is not... More

My wife and I stayed in this smalish modern hotel, which is very conveniently located on the road into San Jose.It is on the edge of the town so you don't have to drive round and round unfamiiar streets. Good selection at breakfast, pleasant staff ,and very good value for money Good sized room, air con., clean. Ours overlooked the road, which... More

We arrived in San Jose on a Tuesday night with nowhere to stay. We booked in to the first hotel that we saw on entering the town and it turned out to be a good choice. Ok, the hotel is beside the road, but that is how we came to find it in the first place! And anyway, the road... More
