Stayed here for two nights on a walking hoilday. On arrival we were meet by a rather grumpy girl at reception who proceded to rush us to our room with little or no explanation of the hotel facilties.Room was very large but other than a king size bed and one chair for sitting on it was sparse of any furnishings, fridge and... Travelled as a couple with 2 children age 4 and 8. The ambience was tranquil, beautiful sunshine and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and bright, shower/bath with lovely hot water. TV with Sky Spanish sat channels, kids were happy with Disney channel in Spanish. Beautiful playground and scenery- kids loved it. Room had fridge to... More

What a terrible shame there seems to be no-one looking after the Cortijo el Sotillo! The pool was a lovely area and very clean, as were the rooms. However, the bread was dry for breakfast, the orange juice processed, and the welcome non-existent. Why couldn't the two girls in the dining room open the terrace, rather than the guests being... We live in Spain and two of our friends have a holiday home near Torrevieja. We thought it would be nice to catch up with them and meet halfway between our two places. We had been wanting to visit Cabo de Gata natural park for some time. We chose San Jose as the place to stay because it was on... More

It was great to stay in a hotel with so much cinematic history. The location was amazing, really beautiful, it was like something out of the wild west - then we found it was!! Its about a 10minute walk to the centre of town which we found fine and quite liked being away from the noise of the town. This... More

On the outskirts of San Jose is this clean and quiet hotel. I expected the hotel to be very quiet, But found that one of the buildings is facing a road, so not so quiet all the time. The rooms are clean and well kept. Make sure to visit the nearby beaches. We only had breakfast at the hotel.

Having read other reviews of this place AFTER we had already booked, it was with some trepidation that we ventured in, but we were pleasantly surprised. Lovely suite (it was sold as a double room with 2 extra beds, but the kids' beds were in a separate room), fascinating building - a lot of spaghetti westerns - and other films-... More

This was billed as an elegant hacienda by the company that recommended this hotel . Completely misleading and I suggest said company starts wondering about the poor reviews. Start with the positive - the rooms were large and clean though the bathroom could do with some updating. It is a pity that the rooms and dining room were so cold.... More

We were sent here on an Inntravel holiday which included breakfast and evening meal. The rooms were nicely decorated, but very cold in the room itself as well as in the dining room and bar areas. Breakfasts were ok but the evening meals were really poor. Many things on the menu were not available. Those that were available were not... More
