needed 1 night stay returning to madrid on Easter weekend, this hotel was by far a wonderful surprise and provided best option. located within walking distance to San Jose waterfront and busy cafes/restaurants area, it also provides it's own outdoor breathtaking terrace for meals/drinks. Beside family-type rooms there're options of lovely apt-type rooms with private terrace and sea views.

Spent 2 nights at the Doña Pakyta. After a long walk from Rodalquilar we were pleased to see the hotel. First impressions were good. We were shown up to our room and remained impressed with our suite Cala Grande (rooms have names rather than numbers). A large bedroom with sitting area at one end which opened onto a private terrace.... More

A charming hotel with beautiful views. Breakfast was adequate , hard not to enjoy it in such delightful setting. Our bedroom with sea view and shared terrace was large with rather tired decor and bathroom but lovely big bath and loads of hot water. The beds however were terrible old fashioned twin beds with very basic bed linen really uncomfortable... More

We had a wonderful room overlooking the sea with a terrace, very spacious bedroom and bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely with so much choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, meat, cheese, pastries and breads, more than enough to start the day. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The position of the hotel was perfect, just a... More

This hotel is slap bang on the nicest part of the beach as San Jose and the public areas are smashing. However besides the reception and beach bar staff, who were charming, the service was poor and the place was a little run down. The staff seemed generally unhappy. The breakfast was a bit average considering the cost of the... More

We stayed a couple of nights here. As others have said - the staff are helpful and friendly, the public areas are spacious - actually everywhere is spacious. Our room overlooked the sea (no balcony though) and it was huge, with a fairly large bathroom. The wifi only worked for my phone when I was downstairs in the public areas.... More

There really is lots to like about this hotel. The staff are charming and helpful, it is the best located hotel in San Jose, the public rooms are full of comfy chairs and sofas, the Wi-Fi works pretty well, the breakfast buffet is very good, if you take a room with a terrace you will find it large and sunny,... We arrived at lunchtime on Christmas Eve and stayed until Boxing day (26th December). I had already stated that my husband was in a wheelchair, though he could manage a few steps. We were booked into a disabled room on the ground floor and although there are four steep steps down into the foyer, there is a platform lift provided.... More

Just a lovely location. Really Spanish, first class hotel, lovely service etc. we had a brilliant room overlooking the Med. We asked for a sea view when booking and that was what we got! Hotel is on the beach, access via the bar terrace, or from the car park. It's a tad steep, but well worth it. Will go back... More

We were conned into paying extra for a terrace room as the others were untruthfully said to be full. Terrace is not private; a string separates you from your neighbours. No off street parking. WiFi did not work nor internet from an old illegal Windows XP PC. Only local Spanish channels on TV. After the superb Parador in Lorca everything... More
