Donna Pakyta is a very good hotel with pleasant staff in a lovely part of Spain. Cano Dr Gata natural park is a very beautiful area of Almeria. San Jose is a nice fishing town with great beaches and excellent fish restaurants. The hotel has large rooms with a very good restaurant. Easy access to the beach with beach bar... More

We stayed at Dona Pakyta in November for three nights. We stumbled across the hotel when driving through San Jose. The hotel has beautiful views over the Mediterranean and being the off season, the rates were very good. We stayed in a room without a terrace. The rooms were very big with large opening windows and great views. The bathroom... More

We walked to the Dona Pakyta over the hills from Rodalquilar, about 20 kilometres, so the cool marble reception area was just what we needed. The hotel is nothing from the road, but step inside and the views through the windows of the lounge could be those of a cruise ship. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a... More

This place was a great discovery. Get a sea from room and you will be amazed at how relaxing and fantastic the views are. Watching the moon rise over the sea is quite an experience. Will return for sure!

The location is good, car parking on street but the location dictates that, we found lots of off street parking close or very close by. The views from the terrace are fantastic, in the summer, if we were lazy, we could have stayed there all day but, still very useful in the winter. The staff were excellent, the food was... More

Room and bathroom were very spacious, as was the terrace with a great view of the sea. Easy short walk to the center of town with a choice of restaurants, bars and shops. Simply but comfortably furnished, with an enormous double bed. Very clean with frequent changes of linen and towels. Good air conditioning and plenty of hot water. Breakfasts... More

we were on a walking holiday - this place was ideally located by some spectacular beaches. In may, the town still seemed quiet, and seemed to appeal to an international clientele, luckily most people spoke a smattering of english. There was a wide variety of restaurants and bars nearby, and a really lovely sandy beach. There was a wide variety... More

needed 1 night stay returning to madrid on Easter weekend, this hotel was by far a wonderful surprise and provided best option. located within walking distance to San Jose waterfront and busy cafes/restaurants area, it also provides it's own outdoor breathtaking terrace for meals/drinks. Beside family-type rooms there're options of lovely apt-type rooms with private terrace and sea views.

Spent 2 nights at the Doña Pakyta. After a long walk from Rodalquilar we were pleased to see the hotel. First impressions were good. We were shown up to our room and remained impressed with our suite Cala Grande (rooms have names rather than numbers). A large bedroom with sitting area at one end which opened onto a private terrace.... More

A charming hotel with beautiful views. Breakfast was adequate , hard not to enjoy it in such delightful setting. Our bedroom with sea view and shared terrace was large with rather tired decor and bathroom but lovely big bath and loads of hot water. The beds however were terrible old fashioned twin beds with very basic bed linen really uncomfortable... More
