I stayed one week in the cottage Peter's Nest. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is enough space for one (or two) person(s). The cottage contains all I needed (furniture, cooking, free WIFI, etc.), and there is much space in the cottage and in the garden around. Only the bathroom is height limiting (around 1m85). The cottage is located... More

We celebrated our wedding at Owlpen Manor on the 2nd May 2015. We hired a marquee through the estate office and all of wonderful cottages that are available. The grounds at Owlpen are beautiful and everything we wanted. We were able to create the bespoke wedding day that we had wanted and the estate manager was incredible throughout the entire... More

Peter's nest was our perfect holiday cottage in the most beautiful of surroundings. There are numerous places of interest to visit in the area and we will definitely be returning as we didn't have the time to explore them all. The estate staff at Owlpen were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were very lucky with the weather as it... More

We stayed at Woodwells cottage in Owlpen with two girls and a dog. All of us loved it: the stunning landscape, the history, the numerous walks, the local attractions and the friendly welcome. The cottage was spacious, traditional yet tastefully decorated with comfy beds and a lovely upstairs bathroom. We cannot recommend Owlpen highly enough. Planning our next visit already!

After a friendly and helpful welcome, we have had a four night break in Peter's Nest, a cosy, clean and tranquil cottage at the head of the valley. It was a really lovely stay, together with our dog who enjoyed the diverse walks as much as we did. Our only disappointment was that the weather was not warm enough to... More

The view from every window is a delight to wake up to. A short walk (half a mile) downhill to the pub, local shop and post office. 5-10 mins in the car to the local Sainsburys in Dursley, so self catering was not an issue. We took my mom for her 70th and she loved every minute of being there,... More

During Easter and the week after we visited Owlpen Manor with a party of 8 adults. We came to train our gundogs. The dogs slept in the cars, we occupied the Grist Mill. Grist Mill has a lot of authentic details including some low beams on the second floor to which we bumped our heads several times the first day...... More

We stayed at Owlpen Manor for a friends wedding. The setting was absolutely incredible. Breakfast overlooking a beautiful valley in the sunshine, afternoon drinks watching the sunset, just perfect! We also had 2 dogs with us so was fantastic having such lovely accommodation that could take them too. thanks!

Just come back from a hen weekend at Owlpen Manor, there was 27 (aged 30 - 70) of us spread over 5 cottages and I can safely say everyone had a brilliant time. I was staying at the Grist Mill (a converted mill, I think) with the bridal party which was a beautiful 3 storey cottage situated a stones throw... More

Stayed in Grist Mill. A beautiful old building which was in a fabulous location, although the mill pond is not full to bursting the place is just so damp it's smell was awful. I went with friends and I slept in the room with the double bed. The padded head board was attached to the damp wall so stank, was... More

We are confused by this report as we have no record of the person with this name. I can assure you that the Grist Mill does not suffer from any damp issues and certainly not on the first and second floor. In the 40 years we have had this cottage, we have never had any complaints about damp in this... More
