when we arrived at the hotel we were very happy with first impressions and thought it was a good find, but that was the best of our experience. we checked in and were given the family room for some reason!? not being fussy we took it as it was clean and tidy, although we had to change the key card... more

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for 2 nights. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and very clean. Our bedroom was small and quite modern. The food in the restaurant was tasty and plenty of choice. The food and drink was expensive but that is always the same with hotels. Due to the location of the hotel... more

The check-in was excellent. Booked a basic room at a good price, but the room was very small. Reception could not have been more helpful in upgrading us at a reasonable cost. The second room was excellent. The setting of the hotel is lovely. Very peaceful. There is a good spa and swimming pool. But then there was the restaurant.... more

Hotel seemed overbooked as only one of the two dining rooms was in use and three coach loads of people. On the first two evenings, dinner started at 7pm and not completed until nearly 9pm. This improved on the following two evenings after complaints had been made. The hotel was clean and staff were helpful at times. About 20+ people taken... more

I am not sure where the bad reviews on this hotel have come from. The staff were lovely and helpful, especially on the reception. I also thought the food was great, and the waiting stuff acted as though nothing was too much for them. They even gave us an ice bucket for the champagne we brought with us. The only... more

Came here for a full company conference package so really unable to comment on the normal room rates and food prices. The place is in beautiful parkland within easy striking distance of the Cotswolds and Worcestershire. Recent refurbishment means good quality very clean rooms and two large pleasant lounges to relax in. Function/conference rooms are a little basic but all... more

I stayed here on a course with work...and was impressed as works standards are usually a lot less. The hotel is in a very rural setting and imagine it would make a nice weekend away if you want to go away from hussle and bussle and enjoy country walks. The rooms were nice. Food was fine, but service not the... more

glad we didn't. We were expecting a pretty grim experience after reading some of the reviews on this site, what we experienced was a very enjoyable long week-end in a lovely hotel set in a very pleasant country location. We booked on a special offer for an unbelievable £10.00 pppn!!!so decided to 'just go with it' and see what the... more

We booked as a mystery hotel and were quite worried to find we were going to a Ramada Jarvis after a horrendous experience at Ramada Jarvis in York (the out of town one) and from some of the negative reviews here. But we were more than pleasantly surprised, the room was adequate ,very clean (recently redecorated/re-carpeted), yes it was warm... more
