My husband and I visited Bowden Hall on Thursday (21 May) for afternoon tea ( a Birthday treat). It was fabulous. We were seated in a sunny bay window overlooking the beautiful grounds. The food was excellent and very well presented. A lovely experience. We felt very spoiled and can't wait to do it again

Firstly - the staff were excellent; really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good with some nice extra touches. However, on day 1 we had to ask for fried eggs, both types of bread and butter to be refilled - the staff really need to be more on the ball and keep things topped up. The room was a real... More

Stayed for a weekend. Had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Food was ok but didnt find the breakfast anything special. Check in/check out were a bit slow but room was just ok - comfy bed but very noisy in the evening as I could hear people walking round the corridor and in the next room. Friendly and helpful staff.... More

We stayed for two nights Bank Holiday weekend and we cannot fault the hotel. The staff - especially Sue on Reception - and all the others on duty were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Dinner the first night was so good that we booked to eat in the second night as well. Breakfast was relaxed... More

My partner and i stayed here for a saturdsy night in May 2015. The hotel was clearly in mid-refub and so lots of temporary boarding etc but didnt affect our stay too much. The lady at check-in was very friendly and full of enthusiasm for the hotel and surrounding area. We stood talking with her for a while after checking... More

Children bought me a weekend stay for my birthday and they couldn't have chosen better. Even though there are big refurbishments happening the staff more than made up for any inconvenience. They couldn't be more helpful or friendly. The offer we had included dinner on the first night and we enjoyed it so much we booked a table for the... More

Had the pleasure of visiting the Bowden Hall Hotel recently through a superb deal from Ncrowd. Our one night stay included breakfast & £22 per head towards Dinner in the excellent restuarant, all for the bargain price of £89. Apart from some improvement work being undertaken around Reception, the condition of the hotel was very good, set in superb grounds... More

The Mercure Bowden hall is some 5 miles outside Gloucester and fairly difficult to find. GPS is advisable. Given the lack of hotels in Gloucester centre, it is probably the nearest decent hotel. When i was there, the reception area was closed for renovation, entry was by a door at the front of the hotel. The staff were very friendly... More

We took advantage of a special deal for 2 nights, to include dinner one evening and 2 breakfasts. It was extremely good value, very comfortable with excellent service and good food. The hotel is set in its own picturesque grounds and is very quiet. However, you can get to the centre of Gloucester in about 10 minutes. On arrival we... More

Dear bernard fancourt Thank you for taking the time to submit a Trip Advisor review for Bowden Hall. We were delighted to read that you enjoyed every aspect of your stay with us recently.
