23 of us celebrated New Year here, most arriving two nights before. This meant we ate in for three nights including the Gala Dinner with band and casino on New Year's Eve. Service was great, all the staff were helpful, the Grade 2 listed building fabulous and breakfast and evening meals really great. Gloucester City and its Cathedral are well... More

My partner and I came here to enjoy a valentine's day package deal. The moment we arrived the grandness of the hotel made for a spectacular sight when driving up the drive way. The receptionist was warm and friendly and gave a perfect welcome. I couldn't fault her customer service and it definitely second to none! The room we stayed... More

Room somewhat tired and up a whole load of stairs, so not suitable for those who find that difficult. Dinner was average. The pianist was not very good and amplified to the extent that he drove me out of the room for the dessert. Management just shrugged when I complained about the noise. An attractive location for a wedding or... More

First impression is a rather grand looking building in an elevated postion. Good sized car park and pleasantly landscaped gardens overlooking a river. The reception was pleasant and efficient. A good start to our two night stay to explore the Cotswolds. We knew the hotel did not have any lifts, but getting to the room was an expedition. A warren... More

My wife and I had an overnight stay here on Saturday 6th February and we were really impressed. From the moment we checked in we relaxed. The setting is beautiful, just a pity the weather wasn't better! We had a Superior room with a 4 poster bed, the room was huge and had great views, the bed was really comfy,... More

We have just returned from our weekend break from wet and windy Glos. As I said we have stayed here on three previous occasions. Can I say without being overly critical, because we do like this hotel, that this visit was our worst experience, only because the room we were allocated was not as good as the three previous rooms,... The hotel is a beautiful building which would be an ideal venue for weddings parties etc, sadly due to bad weather we didn't check out the gardens. Rooms comfy and clean and staff welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was great and again service was excellent.

Great hotel and location. Very spacious rooms in English style. I loved it. Very friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. I have been very well, good value for money. I'm sorry to have been only one night but will definitely return again. Sure I suggest this hotel.
