We had heard about the popular, if pricey Churchill Arms of a while ago - so thought we'd treat ourselves after a long walk. We had to wait for AGES for any food (it was not v. busy atall) and the food itself was, actually, REALLY unpleasant. Fish & Chips (cost over £13) was utterly tasteless. The fish had no... More

Excellent Sunday lunch with friends . Warm welcome from Nick the owner, friendly staff, informal and relaxing atmosphere. I ate the pan fried sea bream which was superb , served with beautifully lightly cooked vegetables including beans , side orders of delicious red cabbage and creamed spinach . My friends ordered the pork T bone chop which they raved about... More

I have dined with friends here a number of times since it re-opened, always very pleased with its warm, friendly welcome and terrific, flavoursome food. After seeing its high scoring review in the Times (2nd Jan), I decided (5th Jan) to take an important business guest for an early dinner meeting. As ever we were welcomed warmly and I requested... I am a generally forgiving diner and very rarely am I driven to write a poor review on Tripadvisor. This restaurant had been recommended to us by several people and we were looking forward to stopping there for lunch en route to our Cotswold destination. Being uncertain of our timings we didn't reserve a table but were lucky and shown... More

We ate here for the first time having been recommended and were totally spoilt. Superb food, from the soufflé to the joints and to the mouth watering desserts. The chef/proprietor Nick and his team really apply themselves and deserve every accolade that they receive. Ignore any adverse reviews and try for yourself. Harry the smiley waiter who really wants to... More

I wend yesterday for lunch with my wife and two friends. I had been told how good this Restuarant was but It exceeded all my expectations. Nick is the owner and chef he has worked for top restaurants in London before he bought this small but quaint pub. They also have two very well appointed rooms. It is a must... More

We ended up staying here because we had been disappointed with the Soho Farmhouse a few weeks back and needed somewhere to stay in the Cotswolds for a party. (By strange coincidence the Churchill is owned and run by Nick, ex head chef of Soho House.) When we arrived Nick was worried about his usual front of house person being... More

We were recommended to visit this pub for lunch by friends that live locally, so we arrived at 12 noon, to find that the day's menus had not be printed, so we sat and ordered some drinks whilst we waited... Alas, they had run out of coca cola ?? And there was no sparkling water either or house wine ????... More

We visited the Churchill Arms for the first time today. We had a wonderful lunch; a lovely mixture of fresh, quality ingredients - the smoked haddock soufflé and chicken pie are a must if they are on the menu! Good luck to the new owner, Nick, and we hope to be back again soon for an evening meal and an... More

I've been several times now to the Churchill this year and will be returning as soon as I can. Everything about this pub is fantastic, where do I start? The food is sumptuous and moreish with the menu changing seasonally around a few regular numbers and the 'Churchill Classics'. Every dish my girlfriend or I have eaten there has been... More
