I really liked this place even though there is nothing fancy about it. The beds are just ok, the rooms are sparsely furnished, the showers awkward, and there is no WiFi. What there is are spectacular views, wonderful local dishes served for dinner and breakfast, gracious hosts, and interesting buildings. I loved the architecture. I had a sinus infection and... More

We stayed at Aranyakam for 4 nights and it was an experience that we will cherish forever. The hosts, Neema and Rajesh, make the homestay what it is, with their warmth, hospitality and service. You are in the lap of nature, far from madding crowds and the experience can be rejuvenating to say the least. Amidst coffee bushes and lush... More

This was my third trip to Kerala and first to Wayanad. Needless to stay, it's not a hotel but a home-stay. And the hosts are amazing. They are really amicable and co-operative and help you out with every single thing. The food they serve is purely authentic Kerala dishes and made out of home-grown vegetables (they have a massive farm).... More

We stayed there for 3N/4D and it was a pleasant stay. Rajesh and Neema are the owners of this property. They are very helping, you can discuss your travel plan, where to visit, when to visit etc. with them. This is place is little far from the city... so no disturbance at all... enjoyed the nature at full swing with... More

This is a home stay, not a hotel experience. What the owners have done is build tree huts on the side a steep gorge in the midst of a 30 acre coffee plantation. It has the remarkable feel of a tree house with bamboo floors, a bed with mosquito netting, and a modern bathroom with hot water. The balcony opens... More

This is one among the best hotels which i have ever stayed. Infact, i felt at staying at one of my relative home. There are two tree hut houses, which will take us very closely to the nature. I have to mention the food, it is still tasting in my tongue. One of the best food i have had in... More

As Mr.Husband was keen on staying in a tree house, we opted for aranyakam in kalpetta, Wayanad. Getting to the property should not be a major deal, if you are on own vehicle. If taking public transport, one might need to get down near the rippon estate stop and walk by to this place. This place is not your run... More

We stayed two night at this gorgeous spot and could have stayed much longer! It's a bit remote, but it's beautiful and quiet. First we took a look at the two tree huts, which the owners built by hand and are incredible -- everything is made of wood, and the sides of the hut that face the view of the... More

The good: - Lovely surroundings and local climate - A gracious hostess - Simple and airy rooms The not so good: - Quite expensive for what you get - Dining: Variable food (from fantastic to disappointing) and buffet service (feels a little strange and impersonal when there are only a few guests). - The local waterfall is now fenced off... Unfortunately, our overall stay at Aranyakam was disappointing. The rooms were actually well-kept and comfortable, and the bathroom had a nice shower. We stayed in one of the rooms on the lower floor, so no view, but altogether it was fine. What drags this place down was the service. We arrived in Kalpetta after dark ~7pm on the public bus...
