The rock cave candle light dinner is a must. Very friendly service, Excellent food. But mind the monkeys! Go for a cave visit during lunch time. Each of the cottages has a bit different character - most of them with stunning view.

It was a while back but to date the most memorable vacation. We stayed at the tree house overlooking the valley. The food was the best, along with a candle night dinner at the cave house. More than anything else, the food was the best I had ever.

We stayed at the Altamira cottage for 2 nights. This is the cottage closest to the main road and it does not have a balcony. But, it does have huge, west-facing windows and hence a very good view of the mountain range. It was lovely watching the sunset from here. The hospitality was very good. Lins answered all questions that... More

Hi Easwaran, Thanks very much for your reviews. We appreciate the fact that you have qualified our hotel as a good hotel but would beg to differ with your categorisation of our property as expensive. In conjunction with the facility that we offer we are priced in the mid segment of Rs 5000/- in what we believe is reasonable pricing. The people at the resort are very well spoken and extremely professional. Food was superb. A must do if you want to visit this place is the dinner at the cave. For 600 a piece it is a experience that you will cherish for a life time. The resort by it self can be very noisy during the day, the... More

Staying at this spot is truly an experience of living in the Forest, among the rocks, trees, birds and monkeys. It is thoughtfully laid out, and gives a very lay back ambience for good relaxation. the views from the cabins are breadthtaking. The service is good, staff very friendly and helpful. A lot of climbing steps and inclines. There is... More

Definitely recommend staying here. We also booked the candlelit dinner for two. Fantastic service, beautiful scenery, very nice room. Would definitely recommend to all travelers, especially foreigners. It does get a little loud during the day when the caves open, but it clears up around 5 pm. Luckily you won't be in the room all day with so much to... More

Awesomeness in terms of View, Hospitality (Thanks to Sijin and Lins), Facilities in the room, Candles' light dinner in a cave. Had no need to go in search for any Sun set points, cottage named Lascaux had an awesome view so that you can either lay back on your bed and enjoy the sun set or enjoy the Sun set... More

Great location, breath taking views, and a mountainside dotted with cute little cottages. I would highly recommend for travellers. Edakkal Hermitage is beautiful and pretty quiet. The food deserves a special mention, made with love, and just like one might expect food to be at home. The candle-light dinners in a cave on the property is a great experience -... More
