A superbly presented property with large comfortable rooms and beautiful views. Would recommend having afternoon tea, which Ann the owner even serves wearing a traditional maids hat! To top it all off the full English breakfast was probably the best we have ever eaten. Would definitely recommend a visit

Thank you for your kind review; we are lucky to own this late Victorian property with spacious rooms and high ceilings. It is ideal for B&B. We are pleased you enjoyed your tea. Afternoon teas, both standard and deluxe have been very popular in the last year. More

Woodchester Lodge is a lovely old building, immaculately clean and where everything you could possibly need has been anticipated. Anne will greet you with a pot of tea and home made cakes and if you are staying more than one night repeats this whenever you return from your day out. Her breakfasts are a real treat with a wide choice... More

Friends had bought us a voucher for our wedding anniversary and from a long list of hotels, we are so pleased we choose Woodchester Lodge. You enter the door into an atmosphere of calm and tranquility. We had tea and cakes in the large hallway which was very cosy with a woodburner going. We paid extra and had the en-suite... More

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are lucky to live in a peaceful area, but with plenty of interesting places to visit locally. We are very pleased you enjoyed sitting in front of the wood burning stove for tea. We opened up an old fireplace 2 years ago and installed the burner. It has... More

Stayed for a two night break with my husband. Nice area with short walks to local pubs and restaurants. Great Victorian house with some interesting history which can be read in a handbook in the room. Spotlessly clean and very well kept by fabulous hosts Ann and Nigel. Top class breakfast and absolutely loved the little treats with afternoon tea... More

If only the walls could talk we'd probably learn more about the history of Woodchester Lodge. Glad you enjoyed your stay and, yes, hot rock cakes and tea are always on tap from sun up to sun down. More

My partner and I stayed at the Lodge for two nights covering Valentines day. Anne and Nigel were very welcoming and the lodge is spotlessly clean with amazing attention to detail. The food is very good and the room was large and comfortable, the only downside to the room being it was not en suite. The surrounding area is quiet... More

Thank you for your kind review; we are glad you had an enjoyable & relaxing stay here. We hope, if you visit again the ensuite room will be free for your to book. Like you, we wish all our rooms were ensuite, but being an old Victorian house there is little we can do about the original configuration of the... More

Can only repeat what the other reviewers have said. Beautiful house and wonderful hospitality. Anne and Nigel are brilliant hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The tea and cakes on arrival were a lovely touch. The dinner and breakfast were fresh, delicious and cooked to order. Room was spotlessly clean and comfy. The attention to detail makes for a... More

Stayed at Woodchester Lodge for 1 night and what a beautiful house, very welcoming and spotless. When we arrived we had afternoon tea in the hall which was lovely, the log burner was an added treat. We stayed in the room with en-suite and there was everything in the room you could expect and more. Anne was the perfect host... More

We had a lovely time at the Woodchester Lodge! We arrived on a Friday afternoon right on time for a yummy (and filling) homemade afternoon tea served by Anne who is the perfect hostess. We had it in our room, the blue room which is very cosy and nicely decorated. In fact the room was so cosy, that we had... More

An excellent stay. The accommodation was spotlessly clean with an amazing attention to detail. We had an evening meal which we would recommend for anyone staying to try.
