We booked a package for a hen party including dinner & spa treatments. I also requested a private room for the evening so that if we got a little rowdy whilst playing games we wouldn't disturb other residents. We expected the room to be small, tucked away somewhere, but it was absoutely amazing - set at the top of the... More

Firstly there is no air conditioning except for where the staff are! Which sums up this hotel, make sure the staff are ok and don't give a #%$# for your customers. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. We upgraded to a connoseiur room but we are still not sure what this is except ripping us... More

Great hotel, nice rooms and location on the lake is beautiful. Spa and pool very nice. Pub next door attached to the hotel very nice with good atmosphere and food. Rooms let down by being dirty. Carpet was all marked. Needs a good clean and tidy. Rooms also a little sparse. Bed mattress ok but not comfortable. Pillows also small... More

I was a little apprehensive about whether this hotel would be too large for its own good: awash with wedding parties, proms, etc. Both of these took place during the weekend when I was there and the hotel was large enough to accomodate everyone without seeming unpleasantly busy, though. The rooms were large, too. Ours was quiet and had a... More

The rooms at the hotel are of a good standard but it is a long walk from reception to some of them especially when carrying luggage. My room was uncomfortably warm during my stay making sleep difficult. The food, however, was excellent.

Stayed there for the weekend with 3 girl friends. I arrived early and the friendly staff allowed me to check in early to my one bedroom apartment. We had booked two one bedroom apartments overlooking the lake. Fabulous apartment, large lounge and kitchen area. Tea, coffee and sugar provided. Large double bedroom and separate bathroom. Hotel reception recommend a visit... More

We stayed at the four pillars for our honeymoon on 1st July for 4 nights in a connoisseur with balcony room. The hotel is very large and has plenty of car parking. We never had any problems with getting served for breakfast or at the bar and the staff were all very friendly. We ate in the restaurant, the pub... More

My partner took me away for a night and it was perfect. Beautiful upon arriving. Quick check in with great service, the staff were so helpful whichever department of the hotel they were in. We used the spa which although small was lovely and there was a variety of different things to use within there which we made full use... More

The initial impression of the place is good, the people who work there are (mainly) helpful, which is why it gets 2 stars not 1. However, the rooms are small despite the cost and the walls are paper thin. I stayed for 2 miserable nights during a humid spell of weather (July 2014) and there is NO AIR CONDITIONING in... More

We are sorry that this guest seemed not to enjoy the stylistic choices that so many of our guests have commented as excellent but we hope that the differences in each of the hotels in our group would provide this business traveller with a building style more suited to their tastes. Whilst it is not feasible to argue or merit... More

This was a pleasant meal but no more. Nice situation by the lake and a very spacious dining room with self service starter (average catering style salads, a selection of bread rolls and soup) and carvery, The meat was fine, and plenty of choice of vegetables, but not piping hot. Puddings were a highlight, chosen from a list read to... More

We are sorry to learn that our guest did not enjoy the coffee, however, we do have a full bar and as such offer a variety of speciality coffee's as well as filter coffee. Throughout the year, we offer a 3 course Sunday Carvery (excluding key calendar dates) whereby our guests are seated by our host and then our waiting... More
